I think the reason in these clips we see kirby chewing and brushing his teeth is so he can pretend to be a normal being. he's told to "brush his teeth" even tho he doesn't have teeth, so he pretends to brush so that he doesn't feel left out. after that first incident in episode 1 or 2 where he inhaled everything with his power in the banquet, he was kicked out for being weird, so he doesn't use his ability around others if he doesn't need too, and even pretends to chew so that he makes the people around him comfortable. kirby is an innocent baby who loves the people around him added note: in best context, he's trying to fit in Society

I grew up with the english dub but still this monster wasn't evil. Yes he doesn't use numbing agents, but he's so good at his craft it only took him like 5-10 seconds to fix Tuff's teeth and for the pain to go away. Tuff thanks him and he actually replied with a smile and said "Sure!" This monster did NOT deserve to die.
