The 360 feedback system is very naiive, it assumes no one lies. Actually all mediocre but ambitious people lie when they encounter a talented person with expertise. This system is nothing more than a vehicle for retaliation, for daring to threaten one's fraudulent career by trying solve the root causes of problems. The biggest technical problems are always caused by incompetence of senior employees, not by mistakes nor by random technical occurrences.

Effective feedback must be encouraged to identify and close gaps in employee performance. For a manager to rate an employee remotely, a performance management software is a must-have to appraise an employee with accurate data.

I'm surprised that the 'focus' / employee that's being reviewed is allowed to pick who will give them feedback. Seems like an easy way to introduce bias into the process, especially if the people they pick are close coworkers. Granted, there's probably more complexity to the process but idk, it seems like this form of feedback could be gamed.

If it is for development then people should pick who the want. Sometimes our closest allies are most harsh critics because we have trust.
