Don’t be fooled. The LTB enables bad tenants and has been doing so for decades. And there is only one revenue stream to reconcile the losses, the good paying tenants.

this sounds to be in favor to the tenant but it would further reduce the rental available. less small landlords would exist. rent control just doesn't work

With the amount of incidents of tenants choosing not to pay rent knowing that it will take forever for a hearing and issues of people refusing to move leaving new owners homeless or paying a mortgage for a home they can't move into... this is the story angle you chose to focus on at this particular time???🤦🏾‍♀️ I don't believe in rent gauging just fir the sake of it but I also don't believe that any one person should be able to hold someone's personal property hostage.

It's pretty clear that the domination of private-property based renting simply doesn't work in large metropolitan areas and that some kind of public provision needs to be introduced so working class people can have decent housing without having to depend on the "income" properties of over-leveraged landlords.

My landlord is refusing to take my rent because she wanted to increase it above the rent control guidelines now she's trying to evict me illegally saying I'm not even a tenant dispute me paying for 3 years under my name jokes on her she'll be waiting years before a hearing just for me to drop the stack of rent on her and get the case dropped 😂

The entire tenant board needs to be revamped its archaic and needs to be change to reflect today's to accommodate the rights of the landlords as well after the landlord should have some rights to his ownership of getting his unit back when he needs it , why does the landlord have to explain why he needs his property back Tenant are always looking ways of hanging on to their units for ever knowing that it would be difficult to vacate
