It's not about quickbooks I'm talking about manual accounting understanding and calculation of something. 1)Can you explain The adjustment entries and making balance sheet when adjustment information is give(All adjustments like accruals,Unearned Income,Commision etc.Don't bother to explain bad debts and depreciation coz i know it). 2)How to calculate Retained Earnings? 3)Can you tell me the basic format of Owners Equity Section of balancesheet?

what I don't understand is that when I receive inventory the liability and equity increases and the assets remain the same amount, and when I pay the vendor it balances again I thought it is supposed to balance always no matter what kind of transaction you make. please help
