Excellent review. We are taking our first cruise with RC on the Quantum in 2025 & was good to see the tea & coffee making facilities which we didn’t have on Carnival Luminosa. The sliding door to the balcony better than Luminosa.. Love your cabin reviews, so helpful...👍💙

That looks very much like a queen size bed, but I do want to know if the chocolate medication comes with the room?
@robandalicruisetravel Жыл бұрын
Hi Yolanda. Sorry for the delay in replying. We didn't measure it but it seemed to be bigger than our Queen size bed at home. I think, being 2 singles together, it is more like a King size bed. Sadly chocolates do not come with it but even better, you can take onboard your own favourites so you will never be disappointed. Always look on the bright side 🙂

Hello - great videos. Re laundry, how do you wash your gym gear if you go often? Or underwear There is no laundry on Quantum ? Thanks
@robandalicruisetravel Жыл бұрын
Hi John. Even when there are laundries we try to avoid them like the plague. More arguments in laundries than anywhere else on the ship. We generally try to take enough clothes with us to last the whole cruise. Of course, it helps if you don't have to fly and you're not limited on the luggage you can take. And we do not travel light.
@debramaloney93342 жыл бұрын
Chocolate 🥰 Where do you buy magnetic hooks and how much do they cost? Can you take your empty personal water bottles on board and fill them somewhere to put in your room for use, instead of buying bottles of water from ship. They are very expensive. Can you also take onboard in luggage Long Life Milk Cartons so as to make a cuppa in your room with own tea bags, as you say the room has a kettle. Also as the ship is so BIG is it easy to navigate once you get familiar with it? Our last cruise was on the Pacific Encounter, and as much as we tried , we found the Pacific Encounter hard to navigate and confusing. Thank you for always answering my questions so quickly. Love your friendly videos.
@robandalicruisetravel2 жыл бұрын
Hi Debra. Sorry for the delay in replying. Came back to lots of comments and still trying to catch up. We got the magnets from eBay. The big ones were around $30 for 6. Yes you can take plastic water bottles on board and fill them for use on board or when you get off at a port. You should be able to take on onboard unopened cartons of milk, haven't tried it, but you may be better just taking a smaller bottle and filling it daily from the milk in the Windjammer restaurant. We were on the Encounter in September and this may sound strange but we found Quantum actually easier to navigate, even though it is bigger. Happy to help if you have any other questions.

Hi Ali & Rob! Awesome video I've been taking notes for our upcoming, very first family cruise on this exact ship :) Was wondering if the European power socket was a UK one or somthing else, our adpters are Australian and will probably need to bring travel ones.
@robandalicruisetravel Жыл бұрын
Hi Wayne. Thanks for watching and sorry for the delay in replying. The European socket is different to the UK one. The UK one has 3 large rectangular pins whereas the European one has 2 circular ones. You can get adapters from places like JB HiFi or Woolies and Coles. Hope that helps and have a fantastic trip.

Just a quick question, how you get the beers onboard, the ones in the cupboard
@robandalicruisetravel Жыл бұрын
Hi Trevor and thanks for watching. Unfortunately they are not alcoholic beers but non-alcoholic beers. You are allowed to take on board 12 cans of non-alcoholic beverages per person and as Ali doesn't drink alcohol and they are not usually included in the non-alcoholic drinks packages we usually take some on for her.

@robandalicruisetravel2 жыл бұрын
Hi Sarah. Thanks for watching and supporting us. We do pretty much all filming on the GoPro as they are small and really easy to use in terms of settings. Where they fall down though is in low light. We have been using the Samsung and iPhones for low light but even they aren't that good. We are currently looking at some of the Sony cameras with larger sensors to use in low light but haven't settled on one yet.

Hi, glad you enjoyed your first Royal Caribbean Cruise, we were on that same cruise! I just thought I’d let you know about a couple of corrections for your video. 1. You are NOT permitted to take a hair dryer on board. 2. The TV DOES swivel. You have to give it a firm tug on the side closest to the balcony door. We look forward to seeing your next video on Quantum, hopefully I’m not lurking in the background.
@robandalicruisetravel2 жыл бұрын
Hi Adrian and thanks for the reply. Interesting about the hairdryers, haven't come across a cruise line that has not allowed them before. We did give the TV a good tug but it was not for moving. Maybe it was broken in our cabin and they'd fastened it to the wall. I had a good look behind as well and it did look like a fixed mounting but I didn't want to pull it any harder in case it came off the wall. Will try again on our next Royal cruise. If you see yourself in one of the videos let us know though. We love it when people see themselves. Are you planning on being back on board again anytime soon?
@adrianprendergast36172 жыл бұрын
@@robandalicruisetravel yes to be fair it felt like I was going to rip the tv off the wall. Yep, we are booked to go back on Quantum later this year.
@robandalicruisetravel2 жыл бұрын
@@adrianprendergast3617 I can't change the video now but I've added a note in the description about no hairdryers. Never imagined they wouldn't be allowed as they have been OK for every other cruise line we've been on. Doesn't make a difference to me though (Rob) LOL.
