I agree, would love some to see more broach wearing. I have a small collection from my Grandmothers’, I tend to wear them in the winter months on coats. I use to have them all displayed on a small velvet pillow, need to do that again. Thank you for the “reminder” with today’s video! The weekend is nearly here, Friday hugs! xxoo

I remember in the late 80s hanging a broach from a large strand of faux pearls and wearing it as a necklace. The variations of length and size are endless

My mother owned a few back in the 80s, not sure what ever happened to those. I don’t own any I wear. It’s too bad they are not popular, as they are interesting accessories that I think can show off your personality. I’ve seen many pretty ones, but you really don’t see them often anymore.

@@loramacall2315 The best thing to do is go over it with a magnifying glass. Some things aren't marked and some are. The markings can be just about anywhere.

Hi Jill, I believe I asked you before but I can’t remember. I have a BEAUTIFUL brooch from I’m guessing the late 60’s - 70’s. How would I find a jeweler to appraise it? It’s extremely nice but not fine jewelry, I know it wasn’t cheap when originally purchased because it belonged to a famous author. 💜❌⭕️💜❌⭕️💜❌⭕️

One thing to try is to take it to someone selling similar items and ask them to take a look at it. They may be able to give you a better idea of who made it and how old it is. They can also give you an idea of how much one would sell for today. With the more detailed information you may even be able to find similar pieces online to get an idea of its value. xoxo
