What is a Data Lakehouse | why is lakehouse architecture needed

I have gone though 100 + videos but no one gave a clear explanation of data lake , data warehouse and data lakehouse. we should not equate Datawarehouse to hive. Think of hive and S3 as storage options. Lakehouse is an architectural pattern/concept. Databricks provides lakehouse built over delta tables.
