Hi there. Got a question on raw data (flatfiles). These doesn't have identities or keys so you formulate a candidate key by combining some columns (product, location, target_year). Here's the question, if there are some columns to correct and it belongs to the combination of candidate keys, how can the data be corrected or updated? What approach is to be made ?

Question for you Anshul, your intial diagram shows a Data Warehouse and you are showing Raw data stored in the Data Warehouse. The second diagram shows a separate Staging area where the Raw data is stored outside of the Data Warehouse. What is the correct architecture and WHY?

However I am still not clear about its architecture difference between database and Datawarehouse , what if I create Dimension table and Fact table in Database for any subject out of single souce file in database, will that become data warehouse in the database? Could you please explain the difference of its architecture ?

Hi Shailendra good qs, see eventually datwarehouse also stores data so in a way it is a database or datastore. Difference is in the way we store data in dwh vs transactional db. Dwh ideally should have these 4 features - 1. Subject-oriented 2. Integrated 3.Time-Variant 4.Non-Volatile Transactional dbs are meant to run the business like for ex store transactions of every sale that is happening at kiosk but dwh is more analytical so it will historical data to be retained. For ex - Which product gave highest cummulative profit margins in europe for 10years? To answer this query you need your db to have all 4 features listed above and if it does then u can call it a datawarehouse it can be oracle, teradata, redshift or big query. To summarize the way you store data defines a datawarehouse. Hope it helps 👍

Hi please help me in this doubt. Suppose I am running an online course business and I run ads on fb/insta, Google/KZbin/android-apps, Twitter, etc. So there is lot of data is getting collected. Also if people click on my ads on various places, some fill the lead generation form, some don't buy my course and some do buy my course, some people buy my upsale, etc. So where do I collect all this data at a single place and analyse to get some insights. Is there any software that can collect all the data no matter where it is and analyse. Please help.
