Yes, super informative in all vital details. Just the kind of video I wish I had about three years ago, saving tens of hours of research, finding all the details listed in this one video. Great Job! Also, yes, the Kevin spectrum temperature 2800 to 3500 (floodlights) was settled on after many growing experiments, doing great for veg right up to bloom by just changing the light time cycle (for those Mari-Pickles you know). Thanks for sharing, confirming my findings and providing a learning boost forward to those just learning. Your time and effort is greatly appreciated!

Somehow the plants, as you said, need the whole spectrum. Make sense. They evolved this way. Thanks for your experiments!!! I will send mine!!!

oh can you do us a favor and talk about ec/tds my tap water has an ec of 0.5 there is a lot of calcium in the water I've heard that plants can't absorb that kind of calcium. I forgot why though. But I don't get whythe gh flora series has two different types of flora micro series one for hard- one for soft water I would like to know what's up with that maybe one experiment with ro water vs tap water
@GrowingAnswers4 жыл бұрын
ZFofficeonly I have used both. You really only need the tap water version if your tds is above 150ppm-ish. Other than that, the regular stuff Is fine. The calcium in tap water is a larger molecule and doesnt adsorb as easily as what’s in the flora series.

plants need a rest. turn lights off at night. some growers will veg a plant on a 24 schedule, but thats not something i agree with for many reasons. A transparent roof with direct sunlight is essentially a greenhouse. supplemental lighting for that will vary based on the circumstances

@@deevital The manufacturer or sales company that sells lights usually provide a par footprint map. That’s all you need to go by. Overall par measurement over the canopy usually needs to be between 500 and 700 micromole. Center par no more than 1000. Companies usually provide those maps along with height differences as well.
