I gotta do this. The Verizon extender they gave me only goes up to 300mbs and I have gigabit connection. I have the coax running throughout the house too so that’s beneficial

It would. Encrypted and invisible connection will fix that. Don’t broadcast your network publicly

@@jw1714 I really don't think there is a way to stop it if people are tapping off the coax with a MoCA adapter. Calling your IP would be the best solution at this point I think

​@@jw1714 ​you need to use Moca filter! Basically hook it up at point where coax enters your house. Internet (the encrypted one that needs modem) and TV signal can pass through, but not ethernet

Why tho? From where I am everything is done Ethernet only

Because not everyone wants to pay to have Cat5 or Cat six run throughout their house if coax is already installed. Most people had or have cable T.V. or internet already installed in their house.This will actually support up to 2.5 Gb per second depending on the model. I rewired my house with Cat6 and I notice no difference in speed from this adapter to the Cat6. Same exact throughput upstream and downstream. Also gets the installer in and out quickly
