Thank you, I have this project I've been doing for a couple of weeks now trying to use a 10k resistor to allow my phone to run on a power supply instead of the battery. Research online mentioned I need a 10k resistor and I have resistors labeled 10k but when I place them, they only flicker the phone screen on and off, when I measure the resistance, it appears I am getting something like 10ohms or less than, I got these carbon resistors from the arduino kit, not sure what's happening here, but I'll have to look into parallel.
