The Sunday integrated headset is one of the lower stack heights on the market. I 45Î_ tapered bearings with 41.8mm outer diameter to fit 42mm BMX head tubes.

Common on aluminum mountain bike frames. The cup just creates a tight fit to keep the head tube from ovalizing

Can a Gyro GTX-S be mounted on a 1-inch threaded "old school" fork? I want to install a Tange MX-320 sealed bearing headset and the "old school" Gyro will hit the top headset cup.

I have a '99 Hoffman ep with 1-1/8" ht. I put odyssey forks on it with an integrated race already machined on it. How? I found a integrated headset with sealed bearings and press in cups and it works awesome!

All the cheaper SE bikes use that. Also called zero stacks. They are usually used for mountain bikes. I pretty much had to figure that out on my Blocks Flyer. Wolftooth Components makes them in colors

Semi integrated seems like a bad design to me but I love integrated. I grew up pressing the cups into frames and honestly it’s not fun. Hard enough to press the dang bearings into the bb nowadays so having the headset easy is a must.

By using semi-integrated headset, they can get away with using a cheaper material for the frame and fork and not worry about the headtube deforming as easily. I miss the old 80s and 90s SE that didn't constantly try and find ways to make cheaper bikes.

it basically allows to have a bigger headtube. a step further is internal headset, which is to accommodate a tapered steerer. sidenote: Hope makes cups for semi integrated headtubes to fit tapered steerers on alloy forks. always go for sealed cartridge version of your headset people! it's fcking 2021! loose bearings are so 1970s...
