Great info Kyle, I am a newbie to soft wash Have been in the Carpet Cleaning business for 25 yrs, just bought a soft wash 7gmp 100 psi, I agree time is money, my machine does not have a metering valve yet so i will have to batch mix. My question is if the water is always on full, why is it made with a metering valve could it not just plumbed right to the valve .

You post such great information. Im starting off with a really basic setup for flatwork and 1 story housing. Just gonna have a flat rack on the back of my jeep. As someone that is going to be looking to upgrade would you suggest building a soft washing unit for a truck or a trailer ? Good video. Since the water valve is always open, you could use a ball valve instead of the GF valve and save a Hundo!

It’ll skew the ratios. A straight ball valve allows more flow when full open vs a metering valve

Hi Kyle, I'm looking into getting a 12v softwash system. I hope this is not a stupid question. When you use the the blend valve unit how does the (SH) dial work? Is the numbers on the dial the indicator for the SH percent? Example: (#1 = 1.0% , #2 = 2.0%, #3 = 3.0%, #4 = 4.0%, #5 = 5.0%) when using 12.5% SH or 10.0% SH . I get it mixes with water but don't really get how you get the correct percent for roof cleaning, house cleaning, wood fence, vinly cleaning, aluminum cleaning and pre & post treat. Again, sorry this is the part that's confusing to me. I hope you can help. Thanks

Hey Kyle I know this video is a little old but if I have a 7gpm 12v pump will the suction from this blend manifold be limited cause of the 1/2" elbow on bottom of manifold and using a 1/2" suction hose? Just wondering cause I now have an batch mixing with a 5/8" suction hose from tank and getting alot of volume and pressure shooting.

I notice on the index plate the arrow is facing up towards chems and not the pump? The GF manual states these are unidirectional and flow is with the arrow on index plate. Can somebody please confirm this? Just want to make sure before I build it if the valve should be flipped? Thank you!

At a quarter open on the bleach the ratio of bleach water to pure water is 1:4. (1/4: 1( x 4)) . THATS 20% bleach water AND 40% water. You are at 20% of original strength . 12.5% x 20% = 2.5% (NOT 1.5%)
