So why do styes occur in the first place and what are they?
Stye is the common term for what we in the medical field call a hordeolum. A stye is a painful red bump on your eyelid edge. Similar to an acne pimple, a stye forms when a tiny oil gland near the eyelashes becomes blocked and gets infected. Styes are bacterial infections that cause the gland to swell. Styes can be painful. The medical term for a stye is a hordeolum. Styes are very common and in many cases, you can manage a stye at home. However, some cases may require treatment by an eye care provider.
It’s common to have a stye on only one eyelid, but it is also possible to get styes on both lids.

I got one on my right eye underneath now I got one on left eye upper eyelid. What is it from? My friend has pets? Maybe I’m allergic?? So embarrassing… does it permanently make your eyes more saggy even after it’s cleared? I dunno what it is. Swollen underneath and left upper is swollen. Stingy. Painful. The right one went down quite a bit. Been using tea bags, adding ACV to water… they have drops but the natural ones got terrible reviews that they burned so badly.

I am a 62 year old man. I have had one style in my life, until recently. I now have three. One on the upper eyelid of my left eye. It started to go away then I got one on the lower eyelid of my right eye. Then a week later my right eye upper eyelid got red and very swollen. I have been trying hot a cold compresses. Even tea bags. Now I heard you mention dry eyes. I has cataract surgery in 2019. As you know one of the aide affect from having this surgery is dry eyes. Is it that I am not using anything for my dry eyes that is causing my Stye’s? Right now my only bother is the upper swollen eyelid. The others are going away. It is swollen near the corner of my eye near my tear duct.
