I like that chain box that is welded onto the side of the quick hitch attachment!

Pretty slick, how much does a single rear remote cost ? Have you heard of anyone having problems with the hydraulic top link?
@TractorTech7 жыл бұрын
Remote cost vary from tractor to tractor. On a Kubota they are around $700. I've heard of some hydraulic top link problems but they are very uncommon. A hydraulic toplnk is just a hydraulic cylinder with the toplink ends welded on it.

Thank you so much sir. I have a 48 horsepower 4320 John Deere 2006 model. I've been trying to figure out how to order the top link and tilt kit for it.

Hi I just found your channel and am really enjoying it. Question on the TNT kit is it possible to set this up on a diverter system and control both functions with 1 scv? If not would you prefer to setup the top or side link with hydraulics?
@TractorTech7 жыл бұрын
Welcome to the Channel! Yes, you could use a diverter to operate a tnt from one remote. If I was only getting one I would prefer a hydraulic toplink.

Morning Roger. This was really helpful. So it looks like I would need one remote that is normal, and one that has a detent for float mode? Thanks pal!
@TractorTech4 жыл бұрын
It is not a bad idea to have one that is float. It works pretty nice on the side link. When you are plowing snow you can drop it float and the blade will follow the contours of the land. Float will not work if you get a sidelink with check valves.

How are you dealing with drift? I used a top link with a double pilot operated valve, but couldn’t find one for the side link. So I’m thinking of putting a pair of ball valves inline to hold position.
@TractorTech2 жыл бұрын
With the way I use the tractor drift is not an issue. I usually make an adjustment before it is an issue. Try disconnecting the hoses if drift is an issue, if you are doing something like mowing were you just set it an use it.

I have the tnt from kubota and the tilt leaks off is that normal or do i need to switch them thx
@TractorTech2 жыл бұрын
A little leakage is normal. It is going to depend on how heavy the implelemt is.

would you be able to tell me what the retracted and extended length and cylinder size of the top link?
@MLJenkins7 жыл бұрын
Any idea why Kubota does not offer the TNT kit with the backhoe option? Is this because the remotes are in the way of the backhoe? I would think taking off the top link and side lift would be easy when needing to use the backhoe.
@MLJenkins7 жыл бұрын
Looking at the newer L60 series, i.e. L4060/L4760.
@TractorTech7 жыл бұрын
+Matt Jenkins It could also have something to do with the power beyond to run the BH. I'd think there is enough room for the remotes on a tractor that size. Go with the 4760 since it has the bigger loader. Ask Messicks on KZbin about the remote, he probably knows.

Do you have a link or part number for your side link? And also your tractor hp?
@TractorTech4 жыл бұрын
The tractor is 44hp. It came as a kit. The side link is available separtely, but it costs as much as the kit, that comes with the toplink and hoses. The kit is used on all the Grand L and MX series tractors.
@SparkysGarage4 жыл бұрын
Tractor Tech what is the name of the kit? Or part number of the kit?

Tractor Tech specifically do you have a part number for the side link cylinder?

Soon, my dealer will be installing the TNT kit on my L6060. Obviously the TNT uses 2 valves. If I want to use a 3 pt hydraulic attachment, can I disconnect the side cylinder at the valve an hook up the hydraulic implement? Thanks Jim
@TractorTech4 жыл бұрын
Yes, you can do that.

Enjoy your informative videos! How do you determine what diameter size of cylinder to use on a top link?
@TractorTech5 жыл бұрын
Thanks! That is a video I have thought about doing. I have seen some guys with some larger tractor buy top links from online farm suppliers that are way too small. The thing that has held me back is don't know the what size each tractor needs. I know I've seen guys with way smaller toplinks than what I have on the same size or larger tractor. I'm sure there is a formula figuring out what size cylinder you need. Lets say your tractor can pull 100% of its own weight, which is highly unlikely. Then see what psi your hydraulics operate at, probably no more than 2600 psi. You could these two things along with the cylidner specs and a hydraulic calc to get close. www.baumhydraulics.com/images/calculators/cyl_calc.htm Then you need to someway factor in shock load. If you are using a blade to move snow and running 5mph and hit a stump, how much of a load is that? I'm not sure how much of a shock load they consider when sizing one. I'm your cylinder is too small and you hit something, you could blow something in the hydraulic system. Generally speaking if your tractor is under 40hp, an off the shelf top link is probably okay. I ran one on a Bobcat CT235 with no issues. If you tractor is over 40hp you probably want something bigger and get a custom made toplink. If you have a tractor that is similar in size to my L4240 I can measure the toplink and tell you the size. It has a Kubota top and tilt on it.
@lancejudysimonson71955 жыл бұрын
Tractor Tech Thanks. There are a lot more variables in sizing a top link as you have said like hitting a stump with the implement or the speed you hit it. Lift arm hydraulic links are more predictable, lift capacity plus a bit. The tractor I’m putting the top link on is about 40 hp.

Thanks. The tnt is from Kubota.

Thanks! Great video. What does a down pressure kit look like?
@TractorTech2 жыл бұрын
John Deere is the only one that I know of that offers that. You would need to be careful, it would be okay with a post hole digger but some attachments may break with down pressure.
