Hello Mentour and everyone else. If you want the complete list of typeratings and endorsment list from EASA, you can google "easa type rating endorsement list", open the top link and open "List of Aeroplanes - Class and Type Ratings and Endorsement List". In there you'll ffind every single rating and what aircraft & series you may fly. (Like you can fly B763 with an 757 rating if you get diff training) Happy landings!

nice video. you forgot to tell the guys that the type rating its refreshing at 1 year, and if you do the type rating on your own and you will not be able to fiind a job in this time you will need to spend again some money to keep the type rating on the license. so one in a year you need to go with the instructor at the simulators and refresh you emergency procedures etc. i`ve been watching all your videos. Good luck

A year ago, I would also have advised against buying a type rating. Recently, though, some airlines (such as Wizzair and Thomas Cook) have advertised for type rated pilots with zero hours on type.

Hi Mentour! First of all, thank you for all your amazing videos, they do answer on lots of my questions. There is one question I am still wondering about. When it comes to applying for a job in an airline, what would be considered as most important? Being 24 years old as a high school graduate, or a 27 year old with a bachelor degree in Industry technology (Ventilation, cooling, automation and general engine knowledge). The reason why I am asking this question is, that I am currently studying in the Copenhagen school of marine and technology management, and have been doing this the past two years, but I still have two and a half years left. But I am seriously considering dropping out of college, and begin in an aviation school in Iceland, which takes around one and a half year. I hope you can help me out, as I am not sure what to do. Thank you! Adam

i heard type rating is mandatory for planes that are heavier than 12000 lbs. What if the airline also operate aircrafts that don't need type rating? for example. PC-12, some smaller king airs (the king air 350 needs rating), or anything. Is it allowed to fly multiple planes? for example a person is flying for X Airline, and he is rated on 737-800, and the airline also operate Pilatus PC-12 that doesn't need type rating. Is he also allowed to fly the PC-12?

Hi Mentour, as always your podcasts are very usefull for me, and i really appreciate you and your job. One thing i want you to ask, why dont you tell as a little bit about studying pilot traning proggrame? I mean can you tell about subjects that we have to study in order to get LICENCE? How difficult are they and whichs are specially important to be studied well? Will be waiting for soonest reply.
@MarshalWEBSTER9 жыл бұрын
I'm doing the ATPL at the moment. We have 14 Subjects and I may say (obviously) that they're all important. The bigger ones may be Navigation (not including radionavigation), Meteorology and Air Laws. You may learn a lot of things, even in your general such as keeping good habits and a good hygiene, understand how radio signals work etc. The best thing to do would be: 1- Going on a website with ATPL Courses just to have a look and know what's waiting you. 2- Always keep your motivation to increase your performances. You know the reason why you are attending these courses! And that brings you to the practical part then! I hope that I partially answered your question ;)

Hi Mentour Pilot, I have another question to ask. Another great video by the way! If you go to a flight school that only teaches you to fly, for example, a boeing 737 will you be aloud to fly different planes like an airbus a320?
@9LimaAlpha79 жыл бұрын
Yes difinitely. You first learn the basics of all aircrafts like how to use elevators/rudders and ailerons also engine monitering. if you change to another aircraft you would recognise these things easily and there won't be a major difference. because pilots when they first get hired by the airline they fly the little planes e.g. B737 & A320, overtime and experiance (hours in the air) you gey hired to fly a bigger plane e.g. A330/A340 & 747 777.
