Ackermann Steering System is a geometric mechanism used in many cars to ensure smoother intersection left/right turns in the road especially when it is at a moderate or high speed.
We have already talked about Toe, Caster and Camber which is similar to this topic.
Toe - • What is TOE? | Skill-Lync
Caster - • What does CASTER mean?...
Camber - • Why are the rear wheel...
Imagine when a car is at a curve or turning point, the person rotates their steering wheel to turn the front wheels of the car.
But during turning, the two front wheels will face different velocities as the wheel on the positive side of the curve will be covering more distance than the other wheel. So, if both the wheels are rotated at the same angle, slipping could occur. To avoid this, the Ackermann steering system is used.

This very well demonstrated. I've watched a few videos explaining Ackerman angle and this one by far makes it easier to understand

I recently tried to design a go-kart ackermann steering. However, why is it that there's only one pair of certain angles for both the inner and outer angle that produces a common point between the extended lines parallel to the rear axle and also the perpendicular lines from both the front tires? Is this a natural behavior or should there always be a common point for all the turning angles of the front wheels? Thank you

Sir does both the rotation and translational velocities of rear inner and outer wheels same or different? And what about the angular velocities of both rear wheels about the Instantaneous center of rotation? Are they same?

Sir, what will b the difference in angles, between the inner n outer wheels, at the extreme point. Will it be less than 5 degrees or more. It may not b standard. Please tell approximately

it depends on so many things like the distance between the wheels, the max steering angle of the specific car, the radius of the turn so there really is no correct answer, it is pretty easy to calculate with basic trigonometry u just have to pick a turning radius and distance between the two front wheels and u can do it with pen paper and calculator

Depends how u wanna use your car if your trying to drift then it's probably better to not use it cause it can make inconsistency in your speed when in a corner which will probably spin u out
