I have the new iPhone 11 plus, ISO 13.3.1, I do what you said, it doesn’t work, I get as far as send, the person comes up in the icon with the thing that let you know they are on and have airdrop, if I press on their picture nothing happens, if I press on the airdrop icon, their name comes up and I press that, then it says waiting and nothing happens. The other person can send me, it doesn’t say waiting on their. And it comes to me. Why can’t I send to them???????

So.... why not just have your photos save to the iCloud, and save your self the trouble of having to air drop them to your ipad?! the last iphone I had was the 4s... and I never had any other apple products. I've debated/considered maybe trying the iphone 11, and some videos I've watched recently has mentioned Air drop being handy... and that's how I ended up to this video lol... All the samples I've seen can be done with icloud or google photos easier... I could see air drop being handy in maybe sending a friend that also has an Iphone a pic or file.. but yeah, that means I need to know people with iphones, and honestly, most my friends don't. I have a few that do.. and also if I'm near the person, odds are I'm not sharing files with them. If they are far away, then I can't air drop right? I just am failing to see this as useful.. I send my family pics via Facebook Messenger.. It's really easy..
