Great video. Almost every casting director I've heard has said it's best to always slate as yourself, but I've heard several stories from actors that slating in character is what helped get them land the gig.

Slating in character has always worked for me and my friend. Especially for Voice Over. But ultimately you should do what you feel is right for you.

For me, I have to get my character down first. What is my viewpoint in the eyes of the character, and I slate as if I am them!
