Now that the roof is on, the focus is on all the airtightness detailing.
Ben also looks at how the insulation changes on this cavity wall construction. It has the added complication of a cat slide roof at the rear (which was needed to gain planning consent).

Hey Ben, great video. As a civil and strucutral engineering student this was very interesting. I am very interested in Passivhaus but my course doesn't offer a lot interms of the technical aspects of Passivhaus. Thanks for the insight

I don't ever get too deep into the technical stuff (that I'm sure you would enjoy!). However, are you aware of the Passivhaus Trust - www.passivhaustrust.org.uk/. There are lots of resources on their websites and they often give students hefty discounts for their events.

Air sealing makes a building more comfortable. No drafts, less expensive to heat or cool.

Hi Zak, I only started these quick updates halfway through the build unfortunately. That said, I've shot footage the entire way through the build which I'll be editing in the coming months. ^Ben
