Our family has an Atmos that was given to our grandfather when he was President of the Philippines sometime 1949 when the company was still called Le Coultre. We brought the clock to the Jaeger Le Coultre shop in Manila to get it cleaned and running, but we were advised to send it to Switzerland. The clock in still in the bedroom, beautiful golden beauty but still motionless.

Do you know if the Atmos clock would be even more efficient if it used for example the refrigerant R744 (aka liquid carbon dioxidd) instead of the usual ethylene chloride?

What's the power reserve in the mainspring? Or rather, if the bellows stopped working and assuming the mainspring was at maximum wind, how long would the clock run for before it stopped? Thanks

Does the ethyl chloride seep out over time? How long does it last?
@colostomybag93672 жыл бұрын
I belive because its a larger molocule it would take a long time for any noticeable amout to leek. Im sure it does but the people that buy these have the money to have them worked on frequently.

as per manual, you have to turn "minute arrow" clockwise , not "hours arrow" , only "minute" and always clockwise until you get correct time
