This video is taught like a true educator, and is deeply appreciated. Jonathan presents things very logically, and it's perfect for both novice and pro. It's exceedingly rare to technical audio videos taught how a pro instructional designer would suggest.This is great. Merci beaucoup!

This video is realy good... just one thing i dont understant how you make stereo IEM mix just by using Y XLR cable ?
@TheDoodostudio
@TheDoodostudio 4 ай бұрын
Thank you very much for this feedback. Actually, the Behringer PowerPlay P2 accepts stereo signal via a usual XLR cable. To do so, you need this specific Y XLR cable that will flow two signals (coming from two XLR outputs of the mixing table) into a single male XLR to plug to the PowerPlay. Hope it's clear. EDIT: sorry, the XLR-XLR "Y" cables presented in my video doesn't work for stereo IEM with the PowerPlay P2 : you need a XLR to stereo Jack, and put the switch inside the PowerPlay P2 to "stereo". Then it works perfectly, and is really easy to pan channels with the fantastic mobile app "Mixing Station". Here is a link to this kind of cable: amzn.eu/d/2NB2BdV

With the Behringer P2 - you need to make sure the pins are wired correctly to work in stereo. Some soldering may be necessary to make the cable work correctly.

N'hésite pas si tu as d'autres questions (branchements, matériel, utilisation, etc.).

I just bought my small band a budget IEM system the Xtuga rw2080 and it's a dual monitor and behind it shows left and right af, my question is, can i plug left af to aux 1 and right af to aux 2 and give individual mix despite being on the same frequency?
@TheDoodostudio
@TheDoodostudio 9 ай бұрын
Thanks for asking. I didn't know about this system, but according to what I saw on KZbin and in the manual, it seems you cannot allocate one channel to 1 receiver to get 4 individual mixes. I had the same issue with the LD Systems MEI 1000 G2 Bundle: they pretend to have the so called "Focus" mode, allowing to allocate one channel to one receiver, but it doesn't work properly, and I was still able to here a bit of the other channel in my mix! In addition, sound was horrible, with lot of noise. I'm afraid you'd better buy a second system to get individual mixes. Hope this helps

Why not use aes50b instead of mic splitters the x32 allows you to route all of your inputs to aes50 outputs
@TheDoodostudio
@TheDoodostudio Ай бұрын
It is a possibility, but this will work only if the Front of House consol is a digital one, compatible with our X32 rack. Our intend was to have a rack that would work whatever the configuration of the FoH. Most of the time, stages already have an XLR patch available, that goes directly to the FoH consol. So having the XLR from the snakes is super convenient to plug and play the rack on stage, particularly when other bands are playing before and after us (festivals, etc.). Hope it's clearer.

Brice

@TheDoodostudio 6 ай бұрын
Salut Brice !

Hi! No, no noise issue with the splitter Behringer MS8000 at all. However, during my last gig, I had a noise in all my channels : it took me some time to figure out that the noise was coming from the UPS (17:13), that was disposed too closed to the rack! I just moved it 10 cm away, and the noise disapeared. Hope this helps.
