love that the pacific encounter and adventure has a walk in robe :) when we go back on the Pacific explorer for our 80s cruise in November we have booked for the 1 st time an oceanview cabin, so itll be interesting to see the size and set up as our other cruise on her we had an interior cabin and i honestly believe it was the smallest cabin on the ship, it was tiny. not mich bigger than our ensuite at home lol it was so small. it was our very first cruise so didnt know amy different back then.

We haven't been on 'Dora' but from what I've seen the cabins do seem to be smaller on there. From what I can see the size range of the oceanview cabins is greater than the interior cabins so, hopefully, it will be better.

Can you show us what charges you take we just did Carnival Splendor and they only had 1 aus and our powerboard got taken of us even through it was non surge protected , they did give us a 4 powerboard. there are 3-4of us so need at least 5 points!
@robandalicruisetravel8 ай бұрын
Hi Sarah. We usually take a non-surge protected powerboard, a couple of double adapters, a couple of US and Euro adapters so that we can use the US or Euro sockets as well for things that don't need 240v and a USB hub that converts a single USB socket into multiple USB sockets (something like in the link). www.officeworks.com.au/shop/officeworks/p/verbatim-usb-a-to-4-port-usb-a-hub-v66602

We are doing a 14 on Encounter in July we have only done 3 and 4 nights so any tips for a long crusies? We have a triple OV room. How does dinner work would you have to book every night or just turn up at the restaurant we have dinner 6:00-6:30.

Hi Sarah. What is the 14 nighter in July please? Longer cruises do give you more time to settle into the ship and you're not as rushed. They are more relaxing. This is how dinners work in the Main Dining Rooms (Waterfront, Angelo's and Dragon Lady). If you have selected either early or late dining, when you get to your cabin you will have a letter there informing you what time you have been allocated and which restaurants on which days (they rotate between the 3). If you want to change any of these at any time then that is fine but make sure that there is a space available at the restaurant you want to change to before cancelling the one you want to change from. If you have selected anytime dining (No thanks, I'll decide when I'm on board in Cruise Control) then you will need to book the restaurants and times individually when you are on board. You can do this on a daily basis, you can book a few days at a time or you can book the entire cruise at the start of your holiday. Again you can change these as you go along if you want to, subject to availability. You can make these bookings either on the App or at the desk at the Dragon Lady restaurant. Sorry this is so long but let me know if there is something else you need to know.

Thats huge for an inside cabin WOW
@robandalicruisetravel8 ай бұрын
The mirrors make a massive difference and make it look a lot bigger than it is. Still not a bad size though. On Encounter and Adventure they are the same size as the Oceanview cabins.

Did someone spill their coffee in the middle of the bed 😊

Yes, well spotted. Ali hadn't been too well and spent the last day in bed.

yeah engine noise I think would annoy me. Mid ship is the way to go.
@robandalicruisetravel8 ай бұрын
We generally choose aft over forward as it is more stable but then you do get the noise so it's a bit of a trade off. You're right though, midships is the way to go. If we can't get that then we will generally look for mid-aft as a second choice.

LOLZ....Engine noise......try a 2500 tonne destroyer. After spending 13 odd years sleeping on them....the wife hates a) how fast I fall asleep and b) the fact that even the loudest thunderstorms cannot wake me. 2 ships I slept under the gun...and they shoot that thing whenever they feel the urge. More Princess content please😊
@robandalicruisetravel8 ай бұрын
Hi Michael, hope you're keeping well. Not sure I would want to do that but it does take a lot to keep me awake or wake me if I'm tired. We don't have anything Princess booked at the moment. We were supposed to be on Diamond for the Japan trip but the MSC deal was so good that we cancelled that and are going MSC instead. We do like Princess though and look for them when we're researching which cruises to go on.
