The Nature of Organizations: A Management Courses Introduction
==================================================
We work in organizations. And organizations are all around us. Yet, how much do we really understand about them? This Kindle-exclusive eBook serves the needs of working managers, who need a broad-brush overview in a short format. However, students may find that overview to be a helpful precursor to your more detailed study.

LESSON NOTES
============
An organization is a grouping of people, assets, material, and knowledge, that are co-ordinated to meet a set of objectives (or serve a purpose)
They serve need to control something larger and more complex than a self-coordinating group of people can hold in their heads.
To do this, they bring resources together and use them to carry out a range of inter-related activities.
Tendencies to bureaucracy and hierarchy… with the aim of efficiency.
Richard Pascale:
‘Organizations are, in the last analysis, interactions among people’.
This view of an organization as a network of relationships straddles the metaphors of:
- Structure (the network) and
- Process (the interactions)
We look at these two perspectives in:
- Organizations as Structures: Understanding an Organization as a Structure • Organizations as Struc...
- Organizations as Processes: Understanding an Organization as a Set of Processes • Organizations as Proce...
Can be temporary or permanent - but realistically cannot be static - must evolve to meet changing needs, exploit new opportunities, and counter emerging threats.
Permanent organizations include enterprises, corporations, companies, partnerships, charities, authorities, schools, hospitals, government departments, local governments, military units, emergency services, clubs and associations
Temporary organizations include teams, projects, expeditions, crews, committees
But one thing is for certain - An organization may be able to work without managers. But a Manager needs an organization within which to work. The job of a group of managers is to make their organization work effectively.

Organizations are everywhere. They are a huge part of the world of work. And they come in many types. But what is an organization? To start off our new course on organizations, I'll answer that question.

In this present generation the organizations in particular in their varieties have the goal of being big, influential and to branch out, the problem frankly speaking is that the regular members particularly the established officials by their founded influence in the society have the tendency to be overly arrogant or have a habit of doing some uneccessary actions or comments that put their whole organization at risk by their careless demeanors where they themselves become the liability of their organization per se due to their over greedy behavior having their own organization adjust to their irrelevant and risky demeanors just to prove a point how they overvalue themselves in their group or just to inflate their personality in the ranks of their organization out of their plans and schemes intentionally or carelessly which only backfires to them as a whole group putting them at risk due to the undisciplined behavior of them. This thing one way or another had happened in some of those groups in the world meaning they cannot manage their own types and kind how can they manage them and their expansion when they become bigger and head Inflated turning them to worst backfiring that within their group just like the strong start of the Ancient Roman Empire for example with some honorable statesman Senators and great administrator Caesars and Emperors, then due to inner corruption and arrogance and over politics and worst effects of the society cause the decline of the Empire until they were reduced to be the sickness of their continent and the subject of Anger and Barbarian attacks here and there. History repeats itself if you will be complacent, careless, overly ambitious and arrogant and with total disregard to your own organizational historical achievements worked hard to reach that from years to years of improvements. Now, there's a need for Satellite groups within an organization as extension from that inner core within a particular organization officials who are undisciplined themselves and betraying each other politically just to elevate a being from the other officials due to over ambition. The satellite groups doesn't have to be doing the practices and traditions and standards of the original organization as long as they are functional, obeys the orders for the task on hand, can be trusted for a certain percentage of approval, with some sort of discipline and not rebellious, then the Satellite group as a result of recruitment directly or indirectly if works and function according to the original organization's original pre worst effect performance can be relied upon and another option to resort the focus for betterment and improvement of the former core group and many members there can no longer be relied upon to carry the organizations vision and goals for the future. Study the scriptures because God have done that to his own people when they're diverting to other things other than what He had planned for them, he resorted to other group for His blessings and help, though His own people realized their mistakes and shortcomings and goes back to God's tutelage. I think that's the proper way to save those organizations from the going out of control officials and regular in positioned members of them, worldwide. Let it be

why do you think does organization form groups?
@ManagementCourses
@ManagementCourses 2 жыл бұрын
I am not sure I understand the question. If you mean 'why do organizations divide into separate groupings' then the answer is that it is easier to manage small groups of people with constrained sets of responsibilities and then manage the interfaces between them, than it is to manage one huge mass of people with all of the functions as a whole. The complexity of a network of connected units (people in this case) is given by N = n(n-1)/2 where N is the number of possible interactions and n is the number of units. So, for a large value of n (an organization of maybe 500+ people) N ~ ½(n^2) But, if we divide it into 10 units, N ~ 0.05(n^2) . Therefore, you reduce the complexity by a factor of 10.

I'm no expert on employment law here in the UK. And I don't know every country. But the first thing to do is read your contract. If you don't have one, then of course you can leave; otherwise it would be slavery. If you do, then the terms for leaving or lock-in will be i your contract. Ask someone in your own country who has some experience.
