Transcendent Sound Kits are the most startling pre-amp/power amplification devices I ever listened to. Used to build Class A, MOSFET,(TO 3 package), Hitachi, output device, amps from circuit boards furnished by Old Colony/Audio Amateur. Bias current was 4 amps with multitiered power supplies, 375,000 uf, double bypassed, filter Capacitance for the unregulated output stage. The input and driver stage, tightly regulated at 100 Milliamps. 4 Toroids/amp. The two OTL amps from Transcendent Sound kits, one the T-16, monoblocs, Class AB, running 16, 6C19PI, Russian, miniature triodes/channel, designed as Voltage regulators in Soviet military avionics systems, > 5000 hr lifespan. Tubes cost me $2.05 each delivered, before the current conflict from Tubesstore, Russia. The second amp, the Mini Beast, a single ended, Class A, OTL, running 3 JJ Electronics EL 509's/channel. For serious listening, OTLs have addicted me.

What are ya’lls thoughts on using these OTL units as pre amps? Been having unbelievable results with an intergraded Dialogue premium intergraded and a Darkvoice OTL as a pre amp Better bass More air Much wider and taller imaging and soundstage No added noice at all. ( good burned in 6sn7 GE NOS )

Over the years I've found running a 16 ohm cab on the 8 ohm tap sounds better on my Marshalls. And I use the 25ft speaker cable trick I learned from Ken Fischer 👍🎸

He lost all credibility when at 4:30 he dismissed ZOTL amplifier technology. He doesn't seem to understand it or be prepared to assess it fully. I have an LTA ZOTL amplifier and it sounds great, and is also lighter, smaller and more efficient than most tube amplifiers.

I Don't know what he's talking about. He starts out talking about frequency bandwidth. Even the least expensive modern day solid state amps have a flat frequency response of 20hz. to 20 khz. The absolute frequency range of human hearing. Then he says power doesn't mean anything. What kind of drug is this guy on?
