The same old incorrect advice from a company that's more interested in selling tyres. The most important factor in aquaplaning is speed - even a brand new tyre can suffer from aquaplaning if the speed is too high. Try driving the car with low tread depth more slowly and see what happens.

Happened to me last week. It was scary. Went through a puddle on a motorway and hit a puddle (deeper than i thought). It was fairly deep and the steering just went. It was an awful feeling. Definitely take it slower when its raining heavily/a lot of water on the road

I'm here because I ended up aquaplaning a couple of times today on the motorway because of really bad road conditions. 🌊 🚙 🌊 I had to stay super alert the whole time because of all the deep puddles along the fast/passing lane when passing slower semitrailers 😅

If you are going slow already then it's only a tyres matter You can acquaplan even at 50km/h

But if you didn't try to steer so aggressively vs how gently you steered with the new tires... this isn't really a test anymore. Its more of a, what happens if you steer harshly vs gently on a slippery road.

Looked like the car on the left had a lot less water on the road too. I'm not convinced, i think you just wish to sell more tyres. Especially when you quoted "current legal limit" are you trying to push legislation to change the legal limit, to therefore sell more tyres. All in the name of safety.

Yes, second car is sliding on the road meanwhile the first car maneuvers without sliding. Second car is going to have problems braking also.

Nope. Notice how the driver was purposely swerving the car. With the first set of tires, the car actually responded to his commands and was much more manouverable. Withe the second set of tires, the car barely moved, despite the driver trying his hardest to swerve. If you were on the road during rainy conditions and needed to steer your car out of the way in the last possible moment, that'd be near impossible with the second set, thus causing a potential accident.
