Hold up A circle that has 2cm radius will have 12.57 cm² of area,but a circle that has a radius of 2cm would fit inside a 4cm² square,so even 4cm ² of area is too much for a circle that has only cm² of radius how come that it will equal to 12.57 cm² ,I think the equation is wrong it must be √12.57cm rather than 12.57cm², so the area must only be 3.55 cm².the 12.57 cm is the circumference of the circle.

In the last problem of the set you said 3.14 but wrote down 7.14 and you used 3.14 in the calculation. When you looked at the white board you expected to see 3.14 so your subconscious mind corrected what your eye was seeing for you. Just a transposition error. I have done it myself many times. You might wish to do something to correct this. Isn't it amazing how our brain can change what the light rays are imprinting on our retina and correct it to what we believe should show even when we look at the white board later. This explains why we have so many problems with truth today in communications. It explains why we get deep division in politics or interpretation of facts and stories. It explains why eye witnesses are often unreliable. It explains why we have so much division among groups of individual people. I think this is called cognitive bias and causes cognitive dissonance in individuals. What a great example for a class in psychology, composition, public speaking, Forensics, political science, religion, research, etc. I am in no way being critical of your presentation. I rate it excellent with a comment. And I am hoping someone can find a way to use this "operating experience" to help us be a stronger people and a kinder people and nation. I am glad I watched this. Now I'm going back to check myself to make sure I saw what I thought I saw. I hope you can find some way of using this valuable learning experience. ✌❤🖖

An old man like me steps into the road and .y mind doesn't see anything because I don't expect to see anything other than vehicles and I hurt someone or worse or the old man in the road is me! Got to be aware always! Glad I caught it before anyone else. I make all sorts of mistakes so I know even really well prepared people occasionally make a little one. There but for the grace of God go I (or is that me?) LOL Keep on reproducing your short snapshots on math and other material. They are well done and just the right length with plenty of practice. One fact practiced 5 times. Good instructional technology. Well done.

If you go to 15:10 his mind got tripped up on squaring 7. He wrote down 7.14 because he was thinking about 7X7 then he even read & said 49 X 7.14, but his answer is on his notes, to make sure he gets the correct answer. He is human & like you said, this could be leason in itself.
@MathAndScience2 жыл бұрын
@@simpleman283 Yep, thanks for understanding. I could edit out, but why do that? Its important to know that I make mistakes too and I'm human. As you outlined, I think that is exactly what happened. Thanks again! Jason

*Thanksgivings Math:* I have two pumpkin pies that are the same thickness. I want to cut them up so that each slice has the same mass (same surface area should work) while keeping the slices a reasonable portions. The answer for each pie should be an integer number of slices, meaning no odd parts left over. One pie is 12 inches, the other is 8 inches. For extra credit, include a 9 inch size.
