@newthinkingallowed dear uncle Jeff if you are reading this , this is MK here. I just want to let you know that I am not able to visit you in america I lost my phone and my normal means to contact you. I sad to tell you that something happened and I might be going away for quite some time. Just in case by the time I come back I might never see you or talk to you again. I just want to thank you for being with me all this years. I love you uncle Jeff and I promise to live a good life no matter what happens. I have been diagnosed with schizophrenia lately. I have hopes and I believe that I am getting better after treatment. So uncle Jeff thank you for being with us.

Every interview with Charles on this channel has been a treasure. It's nearly morning here but I'm going to stay for this. Thank you both. Darn the racoons, and too many of my friends are facing cancer. Much love to Charles. And Geof sure. ❤

At about 33:00, it is amazing to hear a Muslim explain better than most Christians that the revelation in the Gospel is Jesus Christ. And yet so many worship the King James version words, or this versions of the gospel, etc.

I must admit a fair amount of trepidation upon hearing that the guest was an ex-beat poet turned muslim, but he has put those concerns to a rest. Thank you for a well-thought and executed interview. Much appreciated. ❤

After 57-years of conscious research, there's now an unwavering feeling that 'God' is not far off and observing, but is immediate and present in absolutely everything. Meaning this sense of 'God' is so incredibly vulnerable, it's my task here to protect 'Him.' For anyone who feels 'God' becomes visible in the forms of Nature, know that science has declared that Nature has the mentality of a 7-year-child. How cute is that?

I’m glad that NTA is continuing to conduct interviews with Mr. Upton. I find his kind of critically minded perennialism a substantial foil to the all-embracing “New Age” perennialism of late. Along these lines, I think an interview with Phil and Paul Collins, who have published some great work on the intersection of the paranormal and the religio-political, could be very interesting.

Perhaps we missed a chance when Charles said "I got in trouble" by not asking what was it that this was all about. What lead up to it? What allowed him to get out of the trouble? And what lesson did he learn from this experience.

He also mentioned in a previous interview how he once fell heavily for gnosticism but was eventually able to extricate himself from its clutches. Alas, he never elaborated.
@heyguysinternet2 ай бұрын
“Gnosticism” is a term that’s wielded somewhat arbitrarily nowadays, but if I had to guess I’d say that Upton found no truth in the fundamental idea of Gnosticism that reality is a corrupted illusion and that earth is essentially a prison.

Fascinating that Armageddon (Greek for hill of Megiddo in Hebrew) is located in Palestine. During excavations, the archaeologists discovered the remains of 26 cities in the 25 acres territory! This is an ancient site and many of these were found on top of each other.

The Prophet being called "illiterate" can be seen to mean different things at different levels of being/consciousness. In one of the Sufi traditions they say that in essence it refers to the immaculate receptivity that allows him to give birth to the word of God as the Quran. This is analogous in the Christian tradition to be the pure condition or virginity of Mary that allowed her to give birth to the word as Jesus. The archangel Gabriel blew his breath into Mary at the moment of the annunciation. The breath carries the word. And the word was made flesh. Consider what Rumi says in the Discourses of Rumi p33: "The body is like Mary. Every one of us has a Jesus within him, but until the pangs manifest in us our Jesus (aka the Jesus of our being) is not born. If the pangs never come, then Jesus rejoins his origin by the same secret path by which came, leaving us bereft and without portion of him. (This passage points to the possibility of the second birth. It is said in the first birth man is baptised with water but in the second birth he is baptised by the Holy Spirit.)

The greater jihad, so to speak, is implied in the lesser jihad. You will struggle spiritually if you go to war. For most, you'll struggle like you've never struggled before. There's nothing easy about war

I think God created us to experience (& create further) cause (God)is all & can experience through its division parts ( us-duality; others). We, as little cells, are learning laws( like cause/ effect) upgrading self-consciousness. Evil has its purpose, as challenge, so we can choose ways & learn more, create more. We do have helpers, from higher & lower realms...Its our freedom to choose our direction. And learn effects/ consequences. Best way ( for me) is to be authentic, in tune with heart & mind; hard part is honesty with (me/one)self. This world of ours is our mirror. We should work on ourselves rather than wait for Divine intervention. Thanks! ❤

I'm not into the game of assuming that when people talk about angels, they are talking about the images based on the Greek goddess Nike, which is used on greetings cards and Christmas trees. Although for William Blake they were like that.

Without a formalism of the dualism of religion in nature, this is of little use. Utility for survival and knowledge is primary. This is not that. Poetry and good feeling is all good. But the scales of nature don’t care about our ignorance. Qualia and quanta both. This is very lacking in the quanta perspective, but so is most who come on this channel. Taking a break.

Yeah, the first writing-Plato thought that the written language would be the end of thinking. 😊 Because he didn’t understand what symbolic thought and language was. Even technology is symbolic-knowing that removes the destruction from it because of the choices we will make knowing that. Technology is not even slightly “evil” any more than printing or writing is. Censorship is an unequivocal evil, however. And that today is more fearsome than any technology because it is a misinterpretation of life and ignorance of symbols. Like covering up the instruments of your airplane.

Yes, and no. He( she, it ) is not above us, its within us. Like, we are cells, but oraganism is Jeffrey (😊ha,ha). Jeffrey is aware of his tissues and cells, he can decide to go to surgery and remove its parts...cells? They are in its own universe, if they are neuro cells, or liver cells, or cancer cells...they are fighting their own battles and tasks...formed with limitations..when learn, they become immune cells in next fase/ level...or, smthng like that😊
