What is Ashura?

As you know, creating high-quality Islamic content is something we’re deeply passionate about. Each video takes about a week to produce, with 10 to 12 hours of work every day. We do this because we believe in the importance of sharing beneficial knowledge with you.
Unfortunately, we don’t receive any Zakat or Khums (religious charity funds), and the funding we do receive barely covers the costs of the software and program subscriptions we need to keep the channel running. To produce these videos, we’ve even taken many days off from our regular jobs, which has been a big sacrifice for us.
Insha’Allah, we hope to one day do this work full-time. We currently have over 400 videos planned to fulfill your requests, but we can only achieve that with the right financial support. We’re actively seeking sponsors and continuous monthly donations that will help fund our efforts and allow us to continue creating the content you love.
For now, we’ll need to limit the number of videos we release, but we’re not giving up. We’re actively seeking other ways to build a stronger financial foundation so we can continue producing the content you love.

The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: "Husayn is from me, and I am from Husayn & Allah(swt) loves whoever loves Husayn" Ashura is a major event for all Muslims that the holy Prophet Muhammad (saw) grandson Husayn(as) was slaughtered for having stood up for truth & justice against oppression & tyranny with alot of his family against Yazeed. Please do not underestimate this sacrifice as it was done for the sake of Allah(swt) to Keep the holy Prophet Muhammad (saw) Islam from being hijacked from it's Prophetic authenticity. This truly is a universal message that unfortunately a lot of Muslims & other people tend to ignore or merely overlook sadly hence not truly benefitting from it's divine spiritual essence. However by disacknowledging Ashura, I feel would be a real source of displeasure & disrespect to the sanctity & pure love that the holy Prophet Mohammad(saw) had held in high esteem for both his grandsons & grand-daughters.

Historically inaccurate. Also, Ashura is not just about the battle of Karbala, but a very blessed day. On this day Allah forgave Adam and accepted his repentance. saved Prophet Musa from Pharoh, Prophet Nuh had a blessed life, Sulaiman a vast kingdom and power, and Isa was raised into heaven.

In the meantime this is a short analysis; As we said earlier one can discuss what is a sahabi and what qualifies one to be a sahabi? So according to some schools they say that a sahabi is someone who met the Prophet (s), or saw him or someone that heard of him. According to the shia we also add they must be just, we look at the character of the sahabi against the Quran, Sunnah and history and then we can tell who is a True Sahabi. A person like Muawiya that caused fitna around the Muslim world, caused a war against Imam Ali which led to his martyrdom, poisoned Imam Hasan and led the path to the killing of Imam Hussein, does not fit the definition of a true Sahabi but fits the definition as a hypocrite.
