This is because gardnerella vaginalis is a normal bacteria that is part of the vaginal environment. BV occurs when the bacteria overgrow and cause symptoms. Treatment is not killing it entirely, just bringing it back to its usual level.

Gardenerlla vaginalis is a normal bacteria found in the vagina and as the ph levels in the vagina changes from acidic to alkaline it causes the bacteria to grow faster which becomes bv theres numerous things that can change the vaginas ph this is why the doctor cant always be exact with the cause of it

Go and get tested! it may not be BV, it may be something else or nothing at all but for your piece of mine get tested.

@Dr.Graham Dersnah, Question. Im skeptical about taking the pill. So the on the instructions for the metron. pill, the first thing it says is "Have caused cancer on rats"! That's concerning. If the vag is self cleaning won't it go away on its own??

Yes Recurrent infections can cause pelvic inflammatory disease which sometimes cause salpingitis and block fallopian tubes. But it's a rare condition and happen only in complicated cases.

I don't understand about vagina being self cleansing that one doesn't have to wash inside then what does one have to do during menstruation period if she doesn't wash inside will the blood cause smell. @@4546-u5y well that sucks for you. I’m just going by experience here. Do you notice I said women that typically have a high body count and have had multiple partners in the last few months. Those are at increased risk for getting it. It is not necessarily mean that every woman that gets it does those type of things. But usually that is what causes it. But usually women that get it. It’s not too bad. But like I said, usually you get a case every now and then that is just a complete turn off. Like the girl doesn’t even worry about her hygiene. I remember this girl that I worked with. She was a known ho3. And she would get it quite frequently and how I know she’s a h03 because she would literally brag about it. Everywhere she would go. You would know she’s been the air because it was smell like a can of sardines. Even other women were complaining about it. She didn’t care. But nobody liked working with her. Call it misogynistic all you want to facts are facts.
