Biology is much more than that. You explained what life is but not what the discipline of biology is about. Biology is a very broad field that has so many sub disciplines like neurobiology, ecology, biophysics, microbiology or systematics, only to name a few. Biology wants to know a lot of things ranging from very small scales like molecules or cells towards very large ones like ecosystems. It does not only want to know what life is.

The four pillars of biology does not include epigenetics in which is another code working like software overtop the DNA code. Actually 'evolutionary theory' misuses what the epigenome does. How so? The theorized engine of evolving DNA mutations for evolution's adaptations has been preempted by the epigenome already present with adaptation capability WITHOUT any mutations. It is by methylation chemical modifications. It gets its cues from the environment passed into the mother's eggs and male's seminal fluid. Takes just 17 years to give new finches their new beaks...not 2.3 million years that your evolution mentors have wrongly postulated. The epigenome and its epigenetics has logistically an intelligent design signature. So DNA mutations is relegated to what they are. They are mere mutation load. They can have effects such as speciation but in light of what the epigenome taking the place of what evolution supposed to, it's evolution-irreverent. Evolutionists claiming that genome degeneration leads to evolutionary generation is found to be laughable. Absurd. It's comic book science for 'how' super heroes get their powers. Evolutionists do not mention the epigenome because it is not evolution-friendly. They don't tell everything because of lying by simplifying. They skate on the complexity of the cell to keep evolution more believable. It is a sleight of hand. A lot of you do not know this but there are FIVE codes in normal cells. The are the DNA, the epigenome code, mtDNA code, the lipid code, and the sugar code. The catch 22's and complexity involved, there is no way self-assembling of life happened. If you have the supposed 'truth' dictated to you by the mentors you select to listen to, you are being left in the dark. Myself? I look for demonstrations of the truth. This is why I know more scientific facts. The theory of evolution used a wrong precept by saying the epigenome-derived adaptations were 'evidence' for evolving DNA mutations. More smoke and mirrors were added by calling this as being 'microevolution'. Then the juggling act proceeded to say this leads to all of the macroevolution mind-constructs. Let me use a baseball analogy to make this clear. In baseball all the doubles, triples, and home runs cannot happen if one thing is not done. What is it? The runner must touch 1st base. An aware team will know and throw to 1st base as an appeal and the umpire will call him out. The double, triple or home run is disallowed. CONVERSELY, in the theory of evolution with the epigenome-derived adaptations, it does not touch 1st base. The theory collapses. The wrong precept wrecks the concept. Evolution is out! We are a creation. The Creator? Jesus Christ. You don't think I would spend hundreds and hundreds of hours of research to come onto the actual scientific explanation of why evolution is not happening and not know who the Creator is?
