The dual-plane breast augmentation technique may be suitable for individuals with thin breast tissue, mild breast sagging, and those seeking natural-looking results and improved cleavage.
Dual plane breast augmentation is a surgical technique used to enhance the size and shape of the breasts. It involves placing breast implants partially beneath the pectoral muscle (submuscular) and partially beneath the breast tissue (subglandular).
In the dual plane technique breast is covered partially by the implant and partially by the breast. Whenever the doctor dissects the pocket between the breast and the muscle to place the implant they stop the dissection midway between the glandular tissue. For the dual plane whenever the doctor creates the pocket they go halfway through the dissection between the breast and the muscle, they cut the part of the insertion of muscle from the inner side of the muscle of the breast bone. That basically raises the muscle the implant is inserted beneath the muscle so that it is covered partially by the pectoral muscle (submuscular) and partially beneath the breast tissue (subglandular).
This type of technique is helpful when you are looking for the lift of the breast, as well as when there is very small tissue covering the breast or the breast volume is very small then the dual plane technique is done. The dual plane technique offers several advantages. By placing the upper part of the implant under the muscle, it can provide a more natural-looking result, especially in patients with thin breast tissue or minimal breast sagging.
