Rolling budget, or continuous budget, is one that you update on a regular, ongoing basis. This budgeting type gradually extends the current year's budget by adding a new budgeting period as the previous period expires, such as anticipating the budget for the next month or quarter. While current budget is the amount of budget available to spend in the current fiscal year period.
