What is Causing Your Shoulder Pain? Shoulder Instability? How to Tell.
Shoulder instability is an unstable shoulder. Your shoulder is made up of bones that form a ball and socket. When you have an unstable shoulder the ball of the shoulder is not staying within the socket. Could shoulder instability be the root cause of your shoulder pain? In this program video Bob and Brad discuss everything you need to know about shoulder instability and the effect it has on the body.

I would just like to thank you for these posts. My husband sustained two severe head injuries in 2006 and 2007. He was hospitalised for 18 months in total. Recovery has been slow. 😕...but your encouragement has given me the tools I need to improve his condition because when he sees/listens to your videos he can relate to your camaraderie and is inspired by it.

I'm hypermobile in my joints. I've fully dislocated my left shoulder like 8-9 times. Luckily it hasn't happened since having labral repair surgery on it. But now I'm having issues with my right shoulder as well . Trying to do some strengthening as they said, but to say that I'm "apprehensive" towards certain movements is an understatement at this point. This series could not have come at a better time. Thank you gentlemen.

I'm sorry to hear that, I thought i I dislocated my shoulder last night and I've done it before but have never actually been treated. It always seems to "pop back in" last night it happened and the pain was so unbearable I couldn't move my arm so I had to go to the hospital, while I was waiting they gave me a dose of fentanyl for the severe pain and I relaxed my arm and i could move it all of a sudden and I ended up going home just because there was over 30 people ahead of me. Today it hurts but I can move it, but I'm afraid to move it too much incase that happens again. I am going to get it checked out soon because it is starting to worry me. Simple things like coughing or sneezing can make it feel like its popped out of place.

I have a same problem, i will have a dislocation of shoulder , but used to pop back right after 4 to 5 seconds, it usually gives a lot of pain at that time but will be ok next day. But recently dislocation was troublesome , i dislocated and never got back and need to go hospital and need to pull it out, this time the pain was there till week. I went to doctor and have a test , am looking either i should go for surgery or physio ? If anyone know physio will helpful in this matter please let me know.

Oh I wish I saw this three years ago!! A seemingly minor FOSH caused a cascade of issues, which included a PT stretching my posterior capsule. All resulted in MDI and reoccurring subluxations before being identified as hypermobile. One surgery (posterior capsule shift) and an hEDS diagnosis later I’m trying to put off a second surgery by working on strengthening.

I have hypermobile shoulder and other joints. I am strengthening the rotator cuffs, rhomboids, levetor muscles etc. But I think for ppl like me neuromuscular connection is as important as strength. Even though these muscles have enough strength but my brain doesn't summon them when needed there by making them dormant. Also I'm 30 now so I have these muscles sleeping for years. So teaching ppl the right movement pattern and also information as to when which muscles must be activated is far more important. I have left scapula inferior angle and median border grinding something in my back. I don't know if it's ribs, or tendons and or lats. I'm good at mimicking movements so if you can show how those things should actually move inside body then the right movement will automatically strengthen the required muscles. I'm tired of finding that information on internet and don't trust an average PT to know about my special case.

I have had pain in my shoulder and mom as well. She had to have two surgerys and a ball put in... I figured its because of the lack of natural vitamins. I spent a week on taking selenium, vitamin d3, iron, vitamin E, Omega 369, vit A, Zinc, plus all the B's. this shoulder pain has been intense for almost a year and just come from out of know where.. odd so many are having the same syptoms as if something was put to cause so much of the population having the same problem???hmmmm. others are having surgery. I jucied up on the minerials. We are created from Earth, or earthly bodies so it makes sense to replenish that which is robbed from us through our eating habits, the less nutrition in the foods produced by manufactures or even a multi-vitamin only gives a small percent of all the daily intake of natural minerals. I no longer do the multi even though it appears as more powerful, yet its only small percent of the regular daily allowance because they tell you the rest should come from your food intake, yet society no longer gives fresh foods. its all cooked leaving no nutrition or stored for long periods in dark cans which gives no LIGHT energy or LIFE to the food.. imagine if you will a fresh food product living in a dark can only being exposed to dark energy. Dark energy is painful and light energy is healing. I encourage everyone to start on your natural intakes of vitamins. remember, multi vitamins only give a small percent of many plus fillers... take your body back there is too much going on in our world and to the people with to many surprise or scares. peace

I know what’s causing mine and it still is tough rehabbing. I’ve been diagnosed with rotator cuff disease. I have tendinopathy in both of my infraspinatus muscles/tendons on both sides and a low grade partial tear on my supraspinatus on the one. I was asking my PT yesterday who said even if the capsule is bothering me it would still be the same treatment. I do my Y’s, T’s, and sidelines. Working from zero lbs to 3lbs. I’m at 1lb right now and it’s difficult and causes pain which will hopefully go away once the strength can absorb it. Mine is caused from trauma as far as we know that’s it. My PT who sees mostly shoulders and has been doing this for 10-15 years says mine are the most sensitive shoulders he’s seen. Meaning I numb myself elbow into a couch, someone brushes against my arm, etc. I get so many knots. We haven’t done that pull test, have done that other one afterwards, haven’t done the third one, and I hate doing shoulder tests. My PT does manual work on me twice a week. I’m 37 year old and injured mine 2 years ago. This is one of the worst/annoying injuries where I struggle to even take care of myself having injuries to 3 of my 8 SITS muscles (for both shoulders). Wish everyone a speedy recovery if you’re dealing with any version of shoulder pain it.
@deerinheadlights9784
@deerinheadlights9784 4 жыл бұрын
Ghandi Blyat It happened because I fell on the ice on my left side and while rehabbing the physical therapy (PT) exercises were too intense as suggested which likely caused the tendinopathy (on the right). It was a dolphin push up which is not recommend for early rotator cuff by any other PT I’ve seen and certainly not daily at the level recommended. I’ve had chronic issues with the right for 17 years but never for more then a few weeks or months. Maybe only 3-5 times total in that many years. The left pain from the ice went away quickly. The right gave me more issues then ever before rehabbing for months and not quite getting to pain free where it effected my workouts. One night the pain was so bad that to sleep I braced it with my left hand. My left arm was outstretched and i fell asleep that way, which I didn’t mean to. My left is my dominant side by the way. So that’s the infraspinatus on my left. Progression was great from January to April of 2020. I started to do push ups with a basketball underneath, pulpy ups with assisted resistance bands, and then shooting basketball hoops. I made a mistake with my anger one day and slammed a basketball on the ground several times which is a ballistic sort of move. They weren’t that strong yet and my right hurt bad again. Since then it’s been difficult not activating one side or the other due to daily life, tripping/falling/bumping into a couch/someone brushing up against me/etc. We’re trying to push through with precautions to gain strength and I have a lot of knots around my infraspinatus, teres minor and/or major, and supraspinatus. I’m starting to incorporate acupuncture today since it’s also effecting my anxiety. Hopefully that will help the blood flow. I may try some dry needling and will regress as suggested. At this time I’m doubtful they’ll order updated mri images. The twice a week pressure point work at physical therapy helps some too. It’s difficult living by myself because it would help to have help while they’re getting stronger. Hot pad and lacrosse ball work helps also at home. It hurts a lot and also takes a lot of time plus time for it to calm down between incidents. The goal is to get it stronger to be able to have the tensile strength to absorb the impacts I’m demanding/asking from it. Hope that helps answer your questions? Hope you feel better if you’re having issues too.
