I was born with this condition and I was starting to walk at the age of 4. My movement and my ability to speak is affected by it but despite of this condition I chose to live as normal. I praise God for His Goodness. Now I'm in the second course in College here in the Philippines.

I was born with a mild case of cerebral palsy that wasn't recognized until I began to walk at the age of one, as I kept on stumbling and tripping over my own two feet. I also had some speech impediments that were treated by speech therapy and my right side of my body (especially my right leg) did not develop as well as my left (anatomically short right leg and muscle atrophy). I have also had life-long major depressive disorder.

I also have cerebral palsy and I used to have seizures but sometimes Even at church I might feel clammy that's why I decided To bring water with me every Sunday to church in case I feel like I'm clammy because Sometimes it could trigger seizures including being overheated And 1 time when my leg was asleep that had the trigger seizures as well And that was because it was in February and I couldn't go to school It was in February20th I didn't go to school and let me tell you that was Wednesday But when I went back on Thursday, February 21 everyone was kind of concerned about me it was the most craziest thing ever

I have a friend who has had cerebral palsy since birth, but his disability wasn't detected until he was nearly 3. I also have a family member who has CP and had been born pre-term. Apparently the family member showed impairment early on.

@dawnlowenstein7277 It’s common for cerebral palsy (CP) to be diagnosed at different ages, as symptoms can vary widely among individuals. Some children, like your friend, may not show clear signs until they are older, while others may exhibit symptoms early on, especially if they were born pre-term. Early detection is crucial for implementing therapies and interventions that can significantly improve quality of life. Each person's experience with CP is unique, and understanding these differences can foster compassion and support for those affected. It's great that you’re aware of these experiences!

What the world took as weakness after a while or a little longer it could become your that power by which you can inspire that many perhaps that you can't think of. Power is not in the society but it's within you.

samuel aina No CP and AML are two different disorders both may show similar symptoms, AML is a motor neuron disease where as CP is a disorder that occurs when the child is in womb or during or after delivery. ALS affects the brain’s nerve cells and the spinal cord. When the motor neuron cells that link the brain with the spinal cord and the body muscles begin to degenerate, it can lead to the death of these cells.
