Simon, some particular questions: 1. Do the MotoGP bikes use inerters for lateral and longtitudinal movement aid 2. Do they use a Smart steering damper linked to the elctronics 3. Do the engines use TJI a la F1?

As much as I don’t like this era gp because it’s just Ducati vs Ducati with the occasional difference but in Philip island I was watching the bikes pull out of corner 5 and all the other bikes were bouncing around and you could hear it but the factory Ducati and Martin were smooth.

Chattering is the sum of different compliances in state of resonance. We all know, deal, manage and master everywhere, all day and night, no faults occuring.

Not exactly, resonance is rather consequence (eventually). Check Pilar's comment. E.g. there is no resonance in the eraser example provided in the video.

there is a reason for it. when they downshift the engine brake breaks the contact with the ground and creates tiny jumps of on and off grip. because the engine brake doesn't let the wheel catch the tarmac speed. as the wheel is directly connected to the primary and secondary transmission, the whole vibration goes through the frame and engine as well ! so you feel like on a vibrator for a quick moment. lile holding a pneumatic hammer through the handlebar and so on... the whole bike. problem is, they could put less engine brake and reduce this but the bike will not turn then. they rely a lot on engine brake to make the bike turn. they're so freakin stiff ! so it would be trading laptime for comfort. and that's not possible in MotoGP.

Chattering=vibration Aerodynamic wings= more air , more perturbation and vibration= more chattering. The more the aerodynamics the more chattering. The solutions may be a vibrational device vibrating the opposite. Ducati can figure it out
