Sanchez lets put you to the test. Look up these verses and see if I am taking them out of context. The goal of Jesus was not to offer us a chance of salvation. The goal was to save everyone. 1 Timothy 1:15 15 This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief. That was the goal. We can measure the goal. If 1 person fails to get saved then Jesus FAILED. According to evangelical Christianity 1% to 10% of humanity is saved (or worse!), the rest burn in hell forever! Who does that teaching glorify? It glorifies Satan! Why do they teach it? Satan has blinded them, and the love of money is the root of all evils. Eternal Torment gives money and power to the church, but it denies the atonement of Jesus on that cross! Jesus always does the will of the Father. If Jesus does not accomplish his goal then Jesus failed his Dad! Jesus can not fail! It is prophesied that Jesus will accomplish ALL that the Father wills. Isaiah 53:10 10 Yet it pleased the Lord to bruise him; he hath put him to grief: when thou shalt make his soul an offering for sin, he shall see his seed, he shall prolong his days, and the pleasure of the Lord shall prosper in his hand. Whatever God purposes will come to pass. God's decrees are immutable. What God has purposed will come to pass. What does he purpose? All that he wills! Isaiah 46:11 10 Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure: 11 Calling a ravenous bird from the east, the man that executeth my counsel from a far country: yea, I have spoken it, I will also bring it to pass; I have purposed it, I will also do it. We in the end will all happily ever after with God and Jesus. We all are going to make it, some sooner, others later. 1) God wants to save all (1 Tim 2:4) 2) God does WHATEVER he wants and always gets what he wants, God can not lose (Job 42:2; Ps 115:3; 135:6; Isaiah 46:10; 55:11; Dan 4:35; Rom 9:15-20; Eph1:11 , Isaiah 53:10-Jesus WILL accomplish the Fathers will!) 3) God GIVES faith, we do not choose to believe(Rom 12:3, Phil 1:29, Eph 2:8-9) 4) Henceforth God will save ALL (1 Cor 15:22-28, 1 Tim 4:9-11, Rom 5:17-19) 1 Tim 2:4-6 4 Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth. 5 For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus; 6 Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time. 1. Anyone for whom Christ gave himself “a correspondent Ransom” will be ransomed (from death & hades, see Hosea 13:14) as a result. 2. Anyone ransomed as a result of Christ’s death will be saved. 3. The “all” for whom we’re told Christ gave himself a ransom in 1 Timothy 2:6 will be saved. 4. The “all” for whom we’re told Christ gave himself a ransom includes all mankind (1 Tim. 2:4-5). 5. All mankind will be saved Jesus said Matthew 18:19 19 Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven. Matthew 21:22 22 And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive. John 14:13-14 13 And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. 14 If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it. 1 John 5:14-15 14 And this is the confidence that we have toward him, that if we ask anything according to his will he hears us. 15 And if we know that he hears us in whatever we ask, we know that we have the requests that we have asked of him. If we pray for something, and it is God' will, and if I have faith, then it shall come to pass. God will's all men to be saved (he has declared so himself), If I pray for it, and I believe (and I believe because God has spoken) then it will come to pass for God wills it to be so. God can not fail his promises, I believe because he has spoken that he wants all men to be saved, because he has declared he wants all men to be saved I know it is his will, and since it is his will I have faith to believe, henceforth it will be so! Jesus promised he will do everything we ask in his name so that his Father will be glorified. Will Jesus break his promise? Let it not be coming to that! Jesus is faithful! It is the faith of Jesus that saves us! I'm a Buddhist who has been going to a Christian school for 15 years ( kindergarten to highschool ), and I've been attending to church more than I have been to a Buddhist monastery in the last 3 years or so. Every time I hear a preaching I always ask the same question, "Why does he always the same thing, it's all more or less 'believe in Jesus'." and I just couldn't understand why it's always centered on that idea. Thank you for the explanation Pastor. I will still remain a Buddhist, but I appreciate the answer. May God bless you :)

Correct. We still pray to God. Certainly. But we do so in Jesus' name. Hence the "I pray this in Jesus' name" at the end of every prayer. To not do so would be an insult to God because we would not be excepted by God if he hadn't died on the cross in the first place. Jesus clears our name between himself and The Father, but yes we do still pray to God. If you have not watched "American Gospel: Christ Alone" yet I 100% recommend it. Where was the part about restoring man into the image and likeness of God again through Christ. Why do reformers always limit God's incarnation merely to the payment of a debt? And if christ, the second person of the God head was punished by the father, you're destroying the trinity, for the persons of the God head always indwell one another and are inseperable. You can't divide the trinity, for where the son isbthe father and spirit are also.

Jesus the man died,the one in human form,not the eternal Jesus that went back to the Father,where he has always been,since the beginning of time,and thus restoring the Trinity.That is why he is also our mediator, because he was human,like us,for a while,we can relate to Him and, firstly,he died willingly and payed for our sins.It is up to us to believe in Him and accept His sacrifice.God forgives the sinner,after he has repented,not the sins,they were already payed.

Hi, if one understands the Gospel, they understand they are sinners in need of a savior. Being born-again is an act of God. The Holy Spirit will do the work of conviction and regeneration. The person can call out to God humbly, sincerely, & faithfully in prayer asking for forgiveness, repenting of sins, and faith to trust and believe in Jesus’ finished work on the cross.

Read the Bible specifically read the gospel of John then the New Testament pray daily ask Jesus to help you and if you recognize sin confess it to him. Once you are saved by grace through Jesus you are a child of God nothing you can do no work will ever save you only the blood of Jesus shed through his death on the cross saves you He paid the price once for all Love Him follow Him seek Him talk to Him and He will come and abide in you

Romans 10:9-12 NKJV 9 that (A)if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. 11 For the Scripture says, (B)“Whoever believes on Him will not be put to shame.” 12 For (C)there is no distinction between Jew and Greek, for (D)the same Lord over all (E)is rich to all who call upon Him

The holy trinity: Jesus is the mediator between man and God. Jesus is lower than the angels (Psalm 8:5) because he is in man form. God is the father. Man (humans) are the children. And Jesus is the Son. The Son is higher than the children because God is higher than man. Man is still lower than God and angels but God is higher than man, even in man form because He is God and men are not. The Holy spirit is God guiding us. He is God in the spiritual form that's with us on earth. And the Father is the ruler. The Bible also says God is the universe. Fun fact, christianity is the only religion that explains how the universe started. In all other religions there is a God that created earth and things on earth with no explanation how the universe was made. In athiesm, the big bang happened but it doesn't explain how anything came before earth. They're basically random gods floating out there in other religions and athiesm(which the big bang theory may actually be in the bible: "let there be light) doesn't explain how anything was made or where anything came from, even the gas. Christianity is hard to understand but that's a clue it's not made by man. Because if men couldn't understand it how could they create it? Plus people (even women) were sexist at the time and the yet bible says men and women are spiritually equal. People back then thought women were evil but the bible never says that. Genesis 1:27 (men and women are made in the image of God. ) Try to understand christianity at least (which is probably why you're here.) You can't judge something you don't understand. (I'm not being hypocritical because I study atheism and other religions.) If you have a question look up answers. Try youtube, or try google or something. Look in the bible too! The bible has answers for some of our questions. We can't understand everything, especially if there is a God because God is much bigger than us and knows more than we do. But if you don't look for answers you can't say you tried to understand christianity. And if you didn't even try then deem it false, well, that's just ignorant. The bible says God will reveal Himself to those who seek Him (the truth.) So pray to God for answers about the true religion. If christianity isn't real then you won't lose anything. If it is, you just gave yourself a chance of happiness for an eternity and avoiding hell. God is ready to help everyone, gay, straight transgender, murderer, liar, vengeful or anyone. God loves ALL sinners. Jesus forgave a hooker, a guy who murdered christians and many sinners. God also loves all people, black, white or whatever you were born with. Remember, you were made in the image of God! Acts 17:25-28 Now some responses to popular questions: Q: if God is real why do bad things happen? A: The bible actually says that God lets people who sin(which causes bad things) live so they can repent. No one would be alive if God killed people who used their free will to sin. The Bible ALSO says turning to Jesus is what stops sin. People just don't. Q: there's no proof of the bible A: actually if you just look into some youtube and duckduckgo research there's archaeological proof the bible is true. Like a fossil of snakes with legs. If other reptiles have legs then snakes having them at one point isn't too unlikely and this proves adam and eve to be true. Mary's tombstone was found, Noah's ark, sea scrolls and lots of sites from the bible that were man made. There were also many discoveries of giant skeletons. The HISTORY channel has a video on this too. Remember, it doesn't matter if there are evil people who claim to be Christians (like the crusaders.) There were also people against slavery who claimed to be Christians. Just like there being islam terrorist groups doesn't automatically make the muslim religion itself bad. (It is but that's another topic.) We have to look at what the bible says (in context). Look up, not around.

Here is where Washer is missing it. For instance, Mark 16 and virtually the whole book of Acts makes it clear that in an evangelistic setting (i.e. the presentation of the gospel) there will be healings, signs and wonders. Of course, those who believe in the end of the "sign" gifts and miracles, focus on the Protestant concept of forensic imputation of righteousness. These sorts of weighty theological issues were rarely taught--except in a most rudimentary fashion--in an evangelistic setting. These things were reserved for catechism and baptismal preparation. In fact, in the ancient church, the presentation of the Gospel to pagans stressed God's goodness and His reality through signs and wonders. This is plainly seen in Acts 14 and 17. Only in the synagogue, amongst scripturally literate Jews did St. Paul rehearse salvation history.

What is very unsettling to me here is that how come i continue committing sins(bad/evil deeds) here on earth, do cruel things and STILL i'll be with god after death! Thats not just unsettling its even a bit disturbing. U say, notwithstanding ANY thing i do here i will be in heaven for all my sins have already been paid for by the lord & that i dont have to do any good deed in order to go to heaven & the bible says that we just need to trust in him, thats it. So if all my sins are fully paid for by the lord, why do i need to even trust in him when im going to heaven anyway? Because not trusting in jesus is a sin but then again, this particular sin has also been already paid for by him. And also in that case why do u say only a christian can safely say they are going to heaven? Jesus paid for all humanity not just for christians, so everyone should and must go to heaven.
@AmericanGospel
@AmericanGospel Ай бұрын
Jesus did not pay for all of humanity’s sins in a universalist sense (some believe the false teaching that all will be saved, even if they don’t repent and believe the gospel of Jesus Christ). If you’ve truly repented and believed the gospel, it’s because God has graciously done a work in your heart to grant you the ability to see the grievousness of your sin, and your need of a Savior. You go from no longer trusting in your own works, to trusting in Christ’s finished work. The fruit of this change of heart is a growing hatred of your sin (godly sorrow), a continued repentance of sin, and a growing love of righteousness. This means that a person will not continue to practice* sinning in a way that enjoys sin, without any godly sorrow over it. If you’re continuing to do cruel things without conviction, sorrow, or repentance, you are likely not truly trusting in Christ for your salvation… you’re viewing Him more like a get out of hell free card, as you continue enjoying the things your Savior died for. True Christians will continue to sin throughout their lives, but the Holy Spirit brings conviction, godly sorrow, repentance (a war/struggle between your remaining sinful flesh and the spirit) and continually points you to trust in Christ and His work, not your own good works for salvation. If you continue to see God’s grace and love in the gospel, your love for Him will increase, and you will not want to sin against Him.

You said - "If you've truly repented and believed the gospel, it's because God has graciously done a work in your heart to grant you the ability to see the grievousness of your sin, and your need for a Savior" But you also say that first (and really all) one needs to do (or start off from) is to truly repenting and believing in the gospel of Christ and then by his grace the holy spirit will bring them closer to God and all sorts of good changes in their heart and draw them away from not wanting to sin again. So i am confused here, it seems like you are making two different statements regarding being closer to god and getting away from sin. First you say, if i repented and believed in the gospel its because the holy spirit has caused my heart to do so and then you say that first i, (by my own free will) need to repent and believe in god THEN the holy spirit God will change my heart. So kindly explain this. Do i have a free spirit to choose to believe or not the gospel or only if God wants me to believe in him so he will do a work in my heart to believe in him?

Every believer can do it! You do it by free will! Nothing controls you! Say a prayer and thank The Father for guiding you to do this! It is real and you can operate it. Read I Corinthians 14! 40,000 Christian denominations (according to google) is not the Christian gospel. According to scripture they were first called "Christians" in Antioch. But Christian is not the best name for who we are supposed to be. Since the word means to baptize you can be Christian ed by a demon as you can Christian a ship when you give it a name. The better name for us is called "followers of Christ, meaning Jesus Christ. Not meaning, we're just into baptizing. We should get out of all Christian denominations including Roman catholic; which was considered the mother of those who don't do the actual gospel right. And do the real way to become the bride of Christ, like some person in the wilderness is suppose to show you. The actual gospel should fulfill us in being christianed like Jesus by the Holy Spirit. Only then, are we on the way, the real gospel of Christ. Jesus Christ means the Jesus that is anointed, christianed or baptized by the Holy Spirit. That could be why they called them christians first in Antioch, but the point is that the gospel was designed to end up with us being baptized by the Holy Spirit...or we are not doing the gospel right to be born again in the first place. The Holy Spirit is the one who is supposed to guide us into all truth God has for us to live in. Since the devil knows we need to be filled with the Holy Spirit to carry out the gospel right, (instead of falling away; according to Jessie Penn Lewis, he pretends to be the Holy Spirit; and hijacks anyones expereince who accepts his deception, into his own possession and trouble version of what is supposed to the baptizing of the Holy Spirit . He knows that if we get the real Holy Spirit anointing; its likely going to be impossible for him to defeat our fulfilment of all God's will. So he fights our acquiring the real infilling. One way is to inspire us to consider (the will of God) that we pursue our sanctification which is a requirement for the Holy Spirit to be willing to live in and with us as just an option and not a requirment. You will not receive the H.S. if you remain a tare and do not sanctify your life. And if you have recieved Him, and don't remain sanctified you will likely become an anti-christ. Worth listening to and heeding good advice...the best way to go forward is obedience to Jesus Christ the best lord of all He creates. To obtain the gift of God (the Holy Spirit ) the bible says God gives His Holy Spirit to those who obey Him...also it says He Himself and His Father comes to dwell in those who show they love Him by obeying Him.

The Christianity is man made by the Apostle Paul, it's not related to Jesus, Allâh almighty sent Jesus only to children of Israel And revealed the Gospel to him to fulfill the law of Moses and correct what the Jews had corrupted from the Torah. This is the mission for which Jesus came, he called on children of Israel to worship only one God Allah, and to believe in him as prophet of Allah and nothing more. Matthew 15:24 (KJV) But he answered and said, I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel. Matthew 5:17 (KJV) Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil. John 17:3 (KJV) And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent. Allah sent Moses and Jesus to the children of Israel only and for a limited period of time, in order to guide them. God did not order Moses and Jesus to spread their faith in the world and among the nations. Christians follow the teachings of the Apostle Paul and the church fathers. Paul the Apostle is the one who invented this doctrine and called it Christianity, then he transformed it into a missionary doctrine. After the ascension of Christ, peace be upon him, Luke in the Book of Acts of the Apostles narrates through Peter that Jesus commanded them to preach the Word among the people (the Jews) only, Acts 10:42 (KJV) And he commanded us to preach unto the people, and to testify that it is he which was ordained of God to be the Judge of quick and dead. so Peter did not eat or mingle with a strangers to fulfill this commandment. Peter began to preach among the strangers and Gentiles based on a dream that no one knows if This dream is true or was invented by Peter in order to justify himself mixing with strangers and preaching the Gospel. Read about his dream in acts 10:9-28 Acts 10:28 (KJV) And he said unto them, Ye know how that it is an unlawful thing for a man that is a Jew to keep company, or come unto one of another nation; but God hath shewed me that I should not call any man common or unclean. But When Peter tried to approach and mix with non-Jews, he was rebuked and blamed by the Jews Followers of Christ.Because he ate and sat with a stranger . 👇 Acts 11:1-3 (KJV) [1]And the apostles and brethren that were in Judaea heard that the Gentiles had also received the word of God. [2] And when Peter was come up to Jerusalem, they that were of the circumcision contented with him, [3]Saying, Thou wentest in to men uncircumcised, and didst eat with them. There are texts in the Bible attributed to Jesus that he commanded his disciples to preach the Bible among the nations. In fact, these texts were corrupted and added to the Bible later and are not found in the oldest and most authentic manuscripts.

Another confused, exaggerated, and distorted, not to mention, emotive description of Christianity and the Gospel from Paul Washer He has a muddled way of exegeting and interpreting scripture. He gets away with it because of His passion for God, and his genuineness, but he seems to confuse the God of the Bible with some angry vengeful pagan deity. His understanding of God is not found in my Bible. Maybe it’s in in his library. While some of his criticisms I can agree with, his penchant for condemning of anyone who doesn't live up to the standard he prescribes, and a God who is to be feared (afraid of), is far more dangerous in revealing the truth of God and Christianity, than the excesses of the Faith/ Charismatic movements.
@AmericanGospel
@AmericanGospel 2 жыл бұрын
You’re wrong. “Vengeful Pagan deity” is a strawman. Yes, scripture clearly teaches that God has a Holy, righteous anger toward sin (wrath), and that our salvation is from God’s justice, by His mercy. We made an entire film about this subject, “American Gospel: Christ Crucified.” The straw man on your part is God being similar to pagan gods. Pagan deities demand blood for appeasement. The God of Bible appeases Himself by absorbing His own justice: kzbin.info/www/bejne/qWq0h61jnquNppo

@@AmericanGospel Wrong? No I'm not. I find it intriguing that a Calvinist, let alone someone who endorses American Gospel, would accuse me of putting up a Straw man. I consider the statement “Vengeful Pagan deity” hyperbole, but even with that taken out, it changes nothing. I might be wasting my time putting this here, because I know a Calvinist wouldn't understand, but I've finally realized what Calvinism is about, it’s about defending Calvinism not the Bible. You have to follow their thought process to understand what they believe. If you just read the Bible you never will. It's like going down the rabbit hole, theology in a tube. You can't argue with them because they can't see out of their hole. The Bible is a Narrative, God's Story, from Genesis all the way through to Revelation. We have an invitation to be part of it. Calvinism is a usurper that tries to impose its own ideas on to the message, completely ignoring the story. The American or Calvinist Gospel presents a different (picture of) God and a different Gospel (story) to the one I find in the Scriptures.
@AmericanGospel
@AmericanGospel 2 жыл бұрын
@@John-Christchurch-NZ the film doesn’t even address Calvinism. 🧐 God’s sovereignty over suffering is not an exclusive belief of Calvinism. And the opposite is true when it comes to why Calvinists believe what they do. It’s all over scripture! And most people who are Calvinists have this in their story- at first they hated the truths related to God’s sovereignty over salvation, because it offends our pride. But then it humbles, comforts, and reveals the glory of God’s Grace. There is an error called hyper-Calvinism with would deny man’s responsibility, but we reject that completely. Maybe that’s the only version of Calvinism that you know. If you ever want to have a correct understanding of what a Calvinist believes, learn primarily from those who believe it (not the critics) who will point you to the scriptures, and then you can test that against the Word of God.

Below are the two summaries that the author Luke gives us of how the Gospel was presented to Gentile pagans. You will notice these things: 1. Acts 14 begins with a miraculous healing. 2. There is not ONE scripture quoted by St. Paul. 3. Paul stresses God's independent existence (i.e. His Aseity) and His goodness to mankind as a reason for leaving idolatry and repenting. 3. He NEVER mentions salvation history, the theory of the imputation of righteousness, or other Protestant doctrines. Acts 14:9 He listened to Paul as he was speaking. Paul looked directly at him, saw that he had faith to be healed 10 and called out, “Stand up on your feet!” At that, the man jumped up and began to walk. Acts 14:15-18 “Friends, why are you doing this? We too are only human, like you. We are bringing you good news, telling you to turn from these worthless things to the living God, who made the heavens and the earth and the sea and everything in them. 16 In the past, he let all nations go their own way. 17 Yet he has not left himself without testimony: He has shown kindness by giving you rain from heaven and crops in their seasons; he provides you with plenty of food and fills your hearts with joy.” Acts 17:24-31 “The God who made the world and everything in it is the Lord of heaven and earth and does not live in temples built by human hands. 25 And he is not served by human hands, as if he needed anything. Rather, he himself gives everyone life and breath and everything else. 26 From one man he made all the nations, that they should inhabit the whole earth; and he marked out their appointed times in history and the boundaries of their lands. 27 God did this so that they would seek him and perhaps reach out for him and find him, though he is not far from any one of us. 28 ‘For in him we live and move and have our being.’[b] As some of your own poets have said, ‘We are his offspring.’ 29 “Therefore since we are God’s offspring, we should not think that the divine being is like gold or silver or stone-an image made by human design and skill. 30 In the past God overlooked such ignorance, but now he commands all people everywhere to repent. 31 For he has set a day when he will judge the world with justice by the man he has appointed. He has given proof of this to everyone by raising him from the dead.”

I focus mostly on the teachings and parables of Jesus Christ. Do you even know His 2 commandments? I also recommend the King James version of the Bible...it's the best translation. Your translation is rather strange. Start with the 4 Gospel books and concentrate on what JESUS DID and SAID. The Apostle Paul was okay, but I prefer the teachings of Jesus Christ. You must be Catholic...emphasizing "Saint" Paul and probably Mary, too. I'm very thankful to be a Protestant, as well as a student of the PROTESTANT REFORMATION. I highly recommend "Fox's Book of Martyrs." It has the last testimonies of the many saints who were tortured, hung, drowned, or burned at the stake for pulling away from the RCC. They were the TRUE "Contenders of the FAITH!" They only wanted the Bible printed in their OWN languages and to be able to worship in freedom and NO payment of "indulgences." My Bible says that all who confess with their mouths and believe in their HEARTS that Jesus Christ is Lord....will be SAVED. Salvation through repentance and belief in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior... IS the Gospel MESSAGE! He shed His blood for the remission of OUR sins. He arose from the dead and sits at the right hand of Almighty God. He IS our High Priest and intercessor with our Heavenly Father. We need NO other "intercessors!" As Protestants, we don't pray to dead saints, Mary or angels. We pray DIRECTLY to God's throne of Grace... in the Name of Jesus Christ.
