Obviously he glosses over what he’s doing. Sure I could go buy the parts he names in the video and figure out how to build it. But I’d be using someone else’s explanation on the coding and my own troubleshooting. If everyone followed the logic of “don’t be lazy” it would defeat the purpose of any tutorial or walk through. The gap between 0 knowledge and enough knowledge to execute this idea isn’t trivial. I mean why does anyone look up videos on “how to”? Why don’t they just use your fool proof technique of not being lazy and just doing it?

@@SilentAsianRoach yeah that's the point of programming and coding, figure it out yourself, use multiple resources not just one video, if you relay only on tutorials you'll fall into tutorial hell and not be able to actually build stuff yourself. You can use a tutorial as a basic, but I assure you you just can look up the name part, buy it and look for "Arduino project example" and start from there If you want to be a good programmer do it this way, use chatgpt if necessary, being a coder is about using as much resources as possible to build your own stuff. Many people fall into tutorial hell and that's why there's a lot of "how to X" videos on programming. So yeah, don't be lazy and do your own research

I’m not sure how he did it, but if you’re looking to use pythons opencv with arduino here’s how I’d do it (I’m new to coding to idk if it’s the best way) You can share data over the COM port to share data between the two different languages. There’s also a Python library to directly interface with arduino board, i do not know how robust it is though. I do think you have to flash new firmware onto your ardunio for this to work
