Mean of the income values is calculated like any other Mean (as indicated in the previous example). However, the Mean was calculated to exemplify how erroneous it would be to use such a parameter. Hence, the illustration proceeds to calculate the Median and NOT the Mean. Trust this clarifies your doubt.

The sample is different for different examples and I have mentioned that in the video. Note that the sizes have been kept low to simplify the understanding of the concept.

If you read the question carefully the steps are already mentioned within. Simply follow through into SPSS ... Initial data entry becomes your input file and the recode with the freq. table becomes your output file.
