What is enabling and how can we stop doing it?

Thank you - I often find it really hard to watch someone I care about make mistakes that cause them distress and it’s this talk is so important in reminding me to reframe and remember that everyone should be allowed to make choices and learn from them. My entire existence seems to be structured around telling people what to do and how to do it ! 🙄

I dint believe that. I really WISH y’all would Say it Like it is sometimes. You said, and of course that person who may be enabling doesn’t ‘know and ‘of course’ their ‘intentions’ are good. BS. Enabling - part and parcel is a motive of cruel and or controlling intentions. I’m not saying ALL the time. I’m saying - and I’m TELLING you people DO IT to ‘cover up’ something. To deny. Get real please
