I love this ! I love your videos!!! As I am in the early phases of my masters as an MFT I really appreciate this info! Also I mentioned in another comment I am a serious fan girl of Virginia Satir lol! I love you highlighting her contributions to our field. She was truly ahead of her time and I think she did so much to usher in a lot of the post modernists concepts we have today . In my humble opinion I think experiential theory helps us enact peace in the world through our field and that is a revolution! Keep on shining !🥰

I met v.satir 40 years ago in athens,in marathon 3 days workshop. She slowed how projection works, it was amazing. She asked us to close our eyes move for 2,3 minutes into the room we were and touch the person standing in front of us keeping our eyes closed. Finally we had to open our eyes and tell Express the feelings we had of the person standing just in front of us. This unknown person made me feeling uncomfortable, she reminded my mother's best friend who was critical and narrow minded, she was no educated, living in a village at the time, while the lady was a psychiatrist living in Athens the capital of Greece

You mean toxic, as in toxic masculinity while forgetting the toxic misandry. right? Yeah. Satir is too dated and was ridiculous then. She is celebrated, but slightly dusty and woke before her time. The basics may work, but her approach was largely feministic and did not exactly taking into consideration men and their story--if at all. The dated nature of her work rest largely on the times in which it was developed where egalitarianism was more traditional. By today's standards Satir's experiential modeling would have to calculate how to compete with the lack of marriages, the iPhone addiction, pornography addiction, social media influences, etc. Beyond that, feminism has done such a good job at dividing men and women, experimentalism resembles a boxing match of words.
