Been scrolling through KZbin videos just to get my mind off my depression ever since my boyfriend left me. I can’t believe I wasted 6 years of my life. I hope I get past this stage. What do you all do when you can’t get over someone? I still want him back.
@DonnaGutierrez-p8q17 күн бұрын
Losing someone you’ve been with for 6 years can be very difficult. I’ve been in a similar situation, so I understand your pain. My marriage of 7 years was on the verge of ending before a spiritualist helped me restore the love we had. I hope you get through this pain.

Steph, I am father of two teenage kids. My spouse left me unexpectedly three years ago. I quickly realized that our family had issues. The divorce was supposed to be amicable. The kids quickly sided with their mother and my oldest daughter showed signs of anxiety and strange behavior when all four of us were together. I asked my ex to go to family therapy and she refused. I’ve been isolated. I’ve learned so much about enmeshment and intergenerational family trauma. This video was a great and quick reminder/summary of much of what I’ve seen in my family. We are getting help. My ex finally agreed to work in family therapy. But it has been a painful process. We are making progress.

I am studying for my licensing exam as a psychologist, and I have been struggling with the family therapy questions on my practice exams. I've had pretty limited contact with family therapy models, and the descriptions I have been prepping with are super bland. The videos in this series are SO helpful - you make the theories come to life. I'm definitely going to be doing some more reading to further explore this world... once I've recovered from this exam hah

Hey Steph Anya. I love, love, love your videos! They are super helpful for my understanding of essential concepts I am learning about in my Master's program. I wanted to reach out to you because I've noticed that some of your videos have background music going while you are talking. For those of us who struggle with hearing loss, background music can make it really difficult to follow what is being said, even when captions are available. Listening fatigue kicks in as one strives to follow and fully understand the words that are heard and read THROUGH the additional noises going on at the same time. I wouldn't want to miss out on all that you could teach me due to this issue. So, I just thought I'd bring it to your attention and hope for the best. As always, thanks for sharing your wisdom with us!

I greatly appreciate your knowledge as well as your insight on how the family structure was handled during the 1960's-1970's year period....I don't exactly know if it went over my head but during this period the man of the household was primarily a Veteran who served in the Armed Forces during the Korean War as well as The Vietnam War era.....Those individuals suffered a tremendous amount of PTSD which affected the infrastructure of the common, American household...just to make a note of that my dear.
