ISTP here. From what I have seen so far, you have some on the best Mbti content on KZbin (and I’ve watched pretty much everyone). Your ISTP video was one of the most accurate (if not the most accurate) descriptions of an ISTP I’ve listened to yet. Please keep it up! I’ve been learning about Mbti for years now and plan to listen to all of your content. Side note- you are one of the most INTJ people I’ve ever encountered. Watching you has really helped me understand what Ni and Te look like as top functions in a real person. I have to get experience of functions in people before it clicks in my head what that function is. I can learn theory all day but until I meet someone and see the function(s) at work it doesn’t quite make sense. So thanks. TRUE Ni dominants or auxiliaries are hard to find.

This confirms it. I’m Se dominant. The childhood description was exactly how I acted as a kid. Anything that captured my attention would turn into a short term obsession

Thank you for doing these. High Se users have always been people who I’ve just sort of seen as very different from myself (INFP). As a kid, I found these people hostile; as a teacher, I found them alien; as the parent of a young child with strong Se preference, I’m now really trying to understand what they care about and why so that I can be supportive. This video was really helpful. Thank you.

As a kid, I also found high Se users scary to be around, specifically ESTPs. My cousin's 6 year old daughter is an ESTP and I'm pretty sure she's borderline psychopath because she lies, hurts animals, big risk taker, uses Fe mask to manipulate etc. That being said, my childhood best friend was an ESFP (I don't recall much Fe, so I don't think she was an ESTP) ... She wasn't like typical female ESFPs... she was really tomboyish and made me get out of the house every day to explore nature. I love her for that.

I, an INTP, had an ESTP bf and it was one of most uncomfortable, weirdest, & annoying experiences I've ever encountered in my dating life. 😳

Extraverted sensing is living in the moment -- experiencing life now and doing things as they were done in the past.

I’m not an expert, but it seems to me (based on observation, reflection, etc) that Function 1 often serves as the inspiration for Function 2. If that’s valid, then you might ask yourself whether you seek experiences in order to find out how you feel about them (ESFP) vs feeling deeply about something and then acting outwardly based on those feelings (ISFP).

@@abel2453 For another example, I’m an INFP and my wife is an ENFP. Both of us are creative values-based people, but I tend to view creativity as a means of expressing/sharing values (Fi leading to Ne), while my wife tends to use creativity to crystallize and understand her values (Ne leading to Fi).

I'm an INFJ with what I would consider an above-average handle on this function. I behave this way often. Olives had my heart for a year straight. It's a "strong" flavor and complex, meaning people study olive oil like wine. But, it was mainly about the flavors.

I fully understand I'm an estp now and what it actually means. Thank you for your videos. I find reading about the functions so taxing and I get lost in them but you take the theory and apply it to real life situations, without the lame stereotypes, so my eager but humble estp brain can digest them. Also watched your video of ti and felt seen af, so thanks. Trying to know myself better as I transition out of being the class clown turned party boy and into the guy who wants to live life to the fullest in a more healthy and productive way, so i guess I'm following suit with the estp character arc lmao.

Been trying to improve my Se further lately. I may have overdone it as I ended up in "the grip" for an entire week and gripping stronger and stronger. The last day I was worried if I was turning into an ESFP permanently as my Si got supercharged (Te a bit weakened too) by the strong sensory.. INTJs don`t cry when listening to music right? High energy levels almost going haywire. When it finally abated I was quite exhausted.. but another transformative step towards Zen Mastery completed.

Se wants to interact with the world. It’s not just reactive to or enhancing of experience. Working on something physical is the experience. The hands of Se user need to do something, I always say my hands and body need a job.

Hey Alexis, thank you for these videos, they are super helpful! ❤️ I believe I'm ISFP but I think I'm in Fi-Ni loop and my Se is very undeveloped. Do you have any tips for strengthening it? I've actually just found puzzles and speed puzzling in particular and I'm so excited! 😄 Before that I used to just read, but it made me kind of mentally sick...

I’m an estp and I agree with most, but desiring expensive things… I tend to shy away from “stuff” especially any cloths that show off the name brand. I’m a jeans and tshirt guy. Maybe more of an ESFP thing to be into flashy expensive things? (Which you just mentioned at the end of the video 😎)

Would you say that an inferior function so in my case Se is more problematic than the demon function (Si)? I feel like I am more removed from Se than Si which is why I'm curious. For example lots of many near death experiences from not paying attention.. .

Alexis have you ever taken the socionics test? It's like mbti & uses some of the same dichotomies like the cognitive functions but is different in other areas too.

She has made a video before talking about what she thinks of different methods (Socionics test, MBTI, etc.). I think she also mentioned each of their credibility according to her opinion + research.
