Love these videos as you know!! I was able to retire at age 45, three years ago. All I do is reload and shoot several days a week out past 2000 yds and under. With my current 6.5 mm system, if my Extreme spread is 20 FPS faster at 2000 yds, that’s 4.2 feet of vertical. At a grand that’s about 4”’s. . I strive to keep my es down below 15 and on my last 21 shots my es was 11 FPS. Thanks for another great video.

the 68-95-99.7 rule from normal distributions says 68 out of 100 shots will be within 1 standard deviation of the average velocity from the point of aim, it also means 32 won't. 95 of the shots will land within 2 sd.

When you want to reduce your extreme spread, you have to improve your ammo or your gun affects the results too? Or maybe both? Very good video by the way!

Extreme spread is normally an ammo issue. Slight variation in powder load and bullet seating depth are usually the problem. Factory ammo can't be controlled, just change manufactures, but if you reload careful measurements may be able to improve extreme spread.

Most of the time it’s powder selection and the ability to weigh each powder drop. We use A&D FX-120i. - Todd Hodnett
