@@BigNastyKail Partially way too fast like a lot of KZbinrs. Sometimes you mention something but don't explain it until a little later that becomes confusing. At 11:17 The counter with the green frames are 5 frames but above it you can read 6 frames? Why the dispcrepancy? You also seem to read the text above and not the frame counter below. I'm new to this stuff. I was a 90s kid playing a lot of Streetfighter 2 but this is new to me.
@Zel-Veraan15 күн бұрын
@@EbonyPope so he reads, "6 frames," because that move has five frames of startup but its first ACTIVE frame is frame number 6. That active frame is important because that's the frame that will cause damage and hitstun, or blockstun if it's blocked. Every move in the game can be "read" like this. (Dropping this for new players who are curious about this same discrepancy.)

This is an amazingly well made video! The only thing I wasn't clear on, and maybe I missed a moment of you actually saying it outright, is the use of the word fireball to refer to Juri's shockwave. Still, that part's intuitive enough, a projectile of some kind, perhaps what's considered a character's basic projectile...? Either way, the way you gradually introduced these details really made it easy to comprehend.

The air combo you have seen is either ex dive then ex dp or the fun ones is when juri activate her level 2 super and thats the fun part. Juri can cancel L, M, H into each other. Kail or anyone; Please help me understand 3:00; 1. Why does the game show "Startup 6 frames", but the green bars (that indicate start up) show only 5F. I'm so confused by this. 2. Why does it say "Total 21 frames", but when you add it up, it's 22f? 3. Why does it say "Advantage 7 Frames", but 24 frames (of stun) minus 12 frames (of recovery) equals 12 frames of advantage? I'll def. sub if you can help me understand this.
@BigNastyKail Жыл бұрын
Yea sure i'll give it a crack. 1. Game will show start up 6 frames because that is the frame that the move hits on. Unfortunately Frame data lingo has been out for a LONG time and this is the closest i've seen to frame data being in a street fighter game. So the way we talk about Frame data and how capcom shows frame data may be different. But yea...5 frames where the attack CANNOT hit, only on frame 6 can it hit...hence "6 frame start up". 2. I actually dont know, but I remember having an issue with the "unreleased" video as well. I remember having to go back and change the voice over on the total frames. It may be how the game treats that overlapping frame of start up and active. It could be how they treat the overlapping frame of active and recovery? I don't have an answer but ill ask around. If I find it, i'll let you know. 3. So if you look at the meter. Ryu has to be in stun for 24 frame of stun. We have to recover from the 5 active frames, and 12 frames of recovery. 5+12=17 frames that we must go through before we can act again (not including cancels). Ryu is stuck in stun for 24 frames. 24 frames stun - 17 frames active/recovery = 7 frames advantage.
@Glitch4Twitch Жыл бұрын
@@BigNastyKail Man, thank you so much! Well answered---I do believe some of the mysteries lie in the fact that the game may combine an overlapping startup/active frame, or an active/recovery frame. Thanks so much for taking the time to explain this. SUBSCRIBED.
