With Square you could explain it maybe better. (3 Degree Patch = G1), (5 Degree Patch = G2) (7 Degree Patch = G3) with Square do can create simple G3 patches when guide a 7 Degree patch transition with 2 G3 Curves.

I still have big difficulties with making smooth G2 connecting surfaces. For example, T-shaped tube-like (when it is not a perfect round tube) connection. Making G1 - is not a problem, but it really sucks specially when it's wide. In most cases I can see where the seam starts. Another example is a spoon, how to make seamless connection with handle? I'm still not satisfied with the results I've achieved so far. May be you can give some simple advises? Is there any difference when loft curve profiles with inequal degree, number of control points, relative sizes? Surface fragmentation is always the better choice to improve quality? How to fix local problems with continuity if it was spotted on the later stage of the project? Thank you for videos. I've learnt a lot from you.
