What Universe do you want to play in first? (For some reason the music feels a lot louder than when I was editing it. I'll make sure it isn't as loud moving forward 😅)

Music sounded fine, my guy. I'll be running a DragonBall genesys solo rpg soon! Been developing, and still am, for 3+ year a dbz setting with added mechanics.

My husband loves the idea of playing an rpg in a historical setting. I bought him the Genesys core book a few years ago, but we're only just now dipping our toes into rpgs in general. So I think we'll probably run the Star Wars system for a while until we get comfortable and then try branching out.

I have been exploring the different systems to run a zombie apocalypse campaign. But it would be weighted to be very realistic and based on the players rl abilities and actual geography and politics. Basically a war game for the coming war. 🙊

I love this system. I just wish it wasn't abandoned for so long. It's a shame. I feel like there was some momentum early and then faded. Glad to see people like you helping to bring it back to life.

The world of Android (Shadow of the Beanstalk book) is sooo good. Had minimal interest in cyberpunk or Hard Sci-fi as a rpg setting before getting it, but now I've got like 5 short campaigns I want to run in the system. It feels like a modern take on cyberpunk, with the optimism of a potential star trek-like future feeling possible... but only if the corporations don't manage to fuck it up for everyone to increase their bottom line. The world has all the classic cyberpunk struggles like classism and out of control corporations, but also adds in inter-planetary tensions between Earth nations and the settlers on the Moon and Mars, and of course the struggles between human Labour and the titular Androids, the clones and AI that are threatening to put the poor out of work for the Corporations profits. The gear and some of the rules in it have some overlap with the star wars books, but it's worth it for the setting alone!

I always worry in a game without a theme that it falls into the Fate Core problem, where it's so loose the rules hardly help guide the action and you spend more time debating the right way to create items rather than just play. Any thoughts on that?

I feel this way 100000% about Dungeon World, another system I play with friends and I don't like it lol This game has the solid game mechanics, which are a solid evolution of the swrpg system. It's the setting and items and gear that are loose which allow for really creative settings and stories

@TheTabletopEmpire well, I'll have to add it to my collection! By the way, your SWRPG content has been invaluable for my group. I've been a GM for around 15 years and the fiddly rules were a tough nut to crack. You made that really easy.

we played Terrinoth for years, great campaign, going for a Twilight Imperium campaign. Played also the Starwars RPG for years. Very cool system, for longer campaign I suggest to not uplevel to fast! PCs are too strong too fast

The only Genesys if you don't count the Star Wars one I have played was a Mass Effect homebrew, it was only a oneshot so I did not get full feel for the system but that is something I would want to play more of. I trying to think other things that could be fun to play that don't already have a system of it's own. I wonder if a Command & Conquer setting would be fun.

Genesys is intriguing. The dice are what I'm here for since as a narrative driven DM who is constantly being asked to host spin off games this might be a way to unify all of them.

Hello! Thank you very much for this video. In the Interview with Edge Studio Manager Sam Gregor-Stewart you mentioned that the vehicle combat rules of the Genesys RPG system are much smoother and popular than the rules from the very similar Star Wars RPG. Can you explain those rules, how the Genesys vehicle combat works and mention where the differences are between Genesys and SW-EotE in this specific topic? A small example (let's say YT1300 against 2-3 TIEs) would be nice and helpfull, also. This would be very interesting and a great help. Thank you in advance for considering. Kind regards from Germany - Frank
