See, I was already a fan of hers, but when I first saw the Evermore video I was like, yeah I don't have four hours. BUT THEN. I am also one of those crazy rabid Sanderson fans. And suddenly people were tying his name to rumors about the park. And one day her video popped back up again. And I was like, wait, now I want to learn more. So I watched it in chunks over the past couple of days. And that led me to Bob's channel. And now I am super invested in what happens with this park. I mean. Spoiler alert, a big thing has happened since you posted. But. Still.

This was really well done and cannot have been easy, filming editing, reviewing and explaining so much. The care for all the members of the community that form Evermore from the traders to the set designers really shines through. I hope you get to do debriefs of the cast and crew and dedicated fans and traders and admin from over the years so they can have a voice. Also I did not realise how funny you were and hope to hear more explanations of whatever new experiences you choose to review whatever happens to evermore

I think that evermore needs to better monetize and structure it's systems. If you had a "season pass" (to use a video game term) for quest lines while having the park be free it would allow more people to get into it. Especially if the season pass gave you like an amulet that you added things to as you finished the season quest (Themed to the season). I think that would be a good keepsake, and be something for free guests to see and ask about. They could ask try making some signature drinks like butter beer that you could only get there. (There are so many easy ideas to turn things around financially)
@celestegrey10 ай бұрын
They were selling season passes at one point on their website, but they were egregiously expensive for the time the park was open and they also didn’t really work because of the disorganization of the staff. People reported that you would show up with a pass and then staff would have no idea what you were talking about. So a good idea but they weren’t able to pull it off. Just Evermore things I guess

I would not take the google listing that its permanently closed as gospel. A company will do that while transitioning between ownerships, tradmarks/brands, etc, so it doesnt necessarily mean its gone forever (it also could just be bad information thats been reported, as google themselves has to take the word of whatever theyre told)

As an ex-theater nerd I love the idea of a park like this and it’s a bummer what’s happened to it. I’m just amazed though how small ball all of the numbers seem to be and how little the owner has cared over the years. There are plenty of Ren Faires that do exactly this even with stories and plots but like do it well so I know it’s a viable concept.

Is it a theme park or theme experience? I’ve heard about Evermore but have felt it lacks a cohesive idea? Is it Narnia, The Hobbit, something of its own, or Burning Man for kids? I think Evermore will be no more soon due to its lack of direction. As a consumer looking in I wouldn’t pay for travel, lodging and tickets for an experience that has no clear direction.
@zoeg53049 ай бұрын
It’s an attempt at a themed experience but it’s lacking much to do so it’s more of just a themed outdoor kinda general fantasy “village” that could serve as a really nice venue. Though the concept of a burning man for kids is kinda hilarious.
@thefaroutmind9 ай бұрын
@@zoeg5304 It's a tragedy to all who invested time and energy into Evermore, which is now, unfortunately, no more. Maybe that Burning Man for Kids idea would have been more profitable.

Idk man I think this walk through small attraction experience would be better for general audiences families and whatnot just looking for something quick during the holiday season. This also seems much more economical from a managerial perspective.
@VideoGamePhilosopher10 ай бұрын
I was desperately excited about this park before it opened but I could see from the beginning that they didn’t know what they were doing. There was no attempt to make people more aware of the characters outside of walking through the park which didn’t make people want to go. It was also badly priced for families which is the primary demographic given the location.

@bgoodwin-mccc8 ай бұрын
@@carcrashjaysonNot directly related to the video at all, just a growing problematic movement that is turning young boys into toxic men. One of their key "red pill" talking points is that nerdy and sensitive guys that don't have an "alpha" body don't have a chance in the "sexual marketplace" (gross). Somehow that's all women's fault. Seeing this kind, interesting dude who is the opposite of an "alpha male" and has a wife and kids and seems to have a wonderful relationship and family, seemed to me like a great counter-point to the incel/red pill propaganda. And it's not a "if this guy can do it, anyone can" argument because he is just a regular dude who likes theme parks, it's just a clear example that you can be yourself and be honest and open about who you are and people will dig it and be into you.
