I'm not quite sure why people are so adamant to pan or defend this series. I've loved this franchise for a very long time and it's nothing new to go "anti-establishment" here and there. Last time was Turn-A, where the designers are basically given cart blanche to make the most goofy, non-MSG looking designs they can come up with and Sunrise puts it out there to garner attention to the brand while the children squabble. This will, undoubtedly, fall to the side much like Turn A, where a segment of the fandom will adore it, and the rest will laugh at its ridiculousness.

It's Gundam Quacks, and that is what it will be... Thank god for some kind of guardian angel at Bandai for protecting UC from these kinds of slops... The art style is just abysmal, characters look like rejects from new Pokemon cartoon. Oh nice, Haman Karn turned into a school girl, I wouldn't even think about all those "theories" about alternative characters, that is just sad. And I don't know what is worse, fans that entertain those pitiful ideas, or that creators really want to insert their slop on the backs of original series. You are either UC or non-UC, there is no "alternative UC". There are faaaar better shows (no, not you Gundam SEED) already done with "non-UC" plot lines, and they have their timelines. "Retcon"? That is like saying that Gundam X or Gundam Seed is a retcon of UC 🤣. People should really google what the meaning of the word "retcon" is, not just throwing words around.

There are already alternative versions of UC that exist, but for arguments sake let’s just say there weren’t. Just because something doesn’t currently exist, doesn’t mean it can’t exist? Series like SEED and After War take heavy inspiration from the world and storyline of UC, but they don’t specifically adapt events or characters by name.

The art style is abysmal? Found the moron with garbage taste. Before Take was making some iconic Pokémon character designs, they were the artist for Katanagatari and the Zaregoto series. Take's characters are vibrant and expressive, not boring typical anime slop. Also, Haman isn't some old woman. She was 20 in Zeta. We see her as basically a school girl in the CDA manga. I'm really sick of fake Gundam fans.
