gst is a series of taxes at many stages after it is produced like manufacture-wholeseller-retailer-consumer thats why cost of prices are so high

Instead of multiple taxes and repetitive payments, everything has been consolidated as one tax but the amount may be same or higher. In other words collect taxes from South-Indian IT hub like Bangalore and build statues worth 4000 crores in the north! Next time make a video on that please! By the way...enjoyed the video!

Why is liquor for human consumption exempted from payment of GST?

Alcoholic Liquor for human consumption is subject to State Excise Duty and Local VAT on sales. Central Government does not earn any revenue from Alcoholic Liquor for human consumption. Entire revenue is of State Govt. So, if it would have been under GST, revenue would have been distributed between State Govt and Central Govt. Definitely, State Govt would not agree to this and hence, GST council has decided to keep alcoholic liquor for human consumption out of GST. And also please note that these are kept out of GST ambit till a date “to be declared”. These will be included once GST volatility settles down.

because the major source of revenue for Govt is liquor, the rate of taxation on liquor is between 70% to 150%, why would the Govt. bring down the taxation on Liquor to 28% which is the maximum rate under GST. Gst is just for those goods and services jispe tax badhana hai, tax ghatane k liye nahin hai :P :P
